Have been looking for a deal on an LG Washing machine as reviews generally are very good. Many thanks. Appreciate the posting. Earliest delivery spot for me (S.London) is 8th June. Good deal
Covers all the essentials. Great build quality, coupled with a decent load capacity at a price that doesn't break the bank. For some, this deal hits the sweet spot in that all the must-haves are covered off at the best possible price. A sensible purchase.

Our 9kg LG is great, just don't forget to buy a water hammer arrestor as well
Hmm doesn't look like this is included in the 5 year warranty promotion. Unsure whether to go for this or pay a bit more for one that is.

I have gotten around this by half closing the water inlet switch, reduced water pressure.

In a Which? survey for washing machine reliability, LG were top scoring 94% surpassing even Miele. Whilst there's no absolute guarantee that something will go wrong in the first 5 years of ownership, the probability is a small one and you would be very unlucky. LG has low failure rates. I wouldn't be this confident with most other brands however.

The core internals across the £300 - £700 range are the same. The main differences are extra features such as Turbowash and Steam, larger drum capacities and a few extra minor embellishments, such as illuminated power switches etc.

If you would still rather have the 5 Year Warranty, try and make it worth you while. For example, when I bought mine in January it was on promo for £399, there was a discount code for £25 making it £374, came with Steam functionality, came with a 9KG drum capacity and it qualified for the 5 Year warranty.

Whatever you decide, you are getting a great quality product at a low price.

Quickest explanation would be to Google "LG washing machine water hammer" - it is an inherent problem with many LG machines but easily addressed with a water hammer arrestor.

I have the Sioux Chief bought from Toolstation as needed a small one to fit behind machine and it works great, but there are others if you may need a bigger one to remove water hammer.
Have to ask yourself - if they are so good and reliable why some models are being heavily discounted? Check reviews wisely as a few issues seem to be forming a theme, speaking from experience ;-p LG customer service also seems to be on a script to blame the customer no matter what. We HAD liked these direct drives and at the start of this year bought our 3rd, and last. 3 months later eventually got a refund after a 'repair on all the sensors and main board didn't improve it. IMHO there is a major flaw in the current programming which seems to be on some machines that seems to around the end of the rinse cycles. Stuff is then massively over wet and won't then spin. Not that LG will admit - it's a 'loading errors or the 'wrong mix of washing'. If you want to play the lottery then I'd only buy from the likes of JL.
Does the warranty included engineering call out charge?
Washing machines still seem to have lots of problems, from lots of different manufacturers too.

You'd think they would have perfected them by now.

Maybe they're too complicated these days?

Some washing machines now have fast closing water valves so when it closes, there is a sudden build up of water pressure causing noise and pipe movement.

You can either fit a water arrestor to the water pipe before it goes into the washing machine or reduce the pressure like stated above by reducing the flow.
Does anyone know the wash times for this, I have had a look at the manual online and it gives no times just the programmes but the only programme that seem to be a full load was cotton only wash all the other programmes were only 3 or 4 kg loads
Had an earlier version of this for 10 years, never had a single problem with it (sold it when I moved in with my partner as he already had one installed wish I'd kept it, it was way better and quieter than his!)
Don't need this until the extension is finished so ordered it to be delivered end of July, which is the latest delivery date I could choose, perfect!

it varies depending on the wash cycle and the options chosen. It varies from 20 minutes to 4 hours. A typical wash cycle is 1 1/2 - 2 hours, which is normal but you can shorten it using the quick wash option.
Now £306. Bought one this morning.

Installation/recycling is £10 more than it was when £330. Makes sense
Sorry - I thought it was more expensive when I looked few days ago - apologize. I sold my old machine so did not need installation as it's easy to do.
I've just ordered one for £306 delivered
£449.99 now
Guys... do you also have problem with vibrations of this washing machine?

I have leveled washer and even secured floor with screws but it still vibrated like crazy.
