Sold by Crampton and Moore or Hi Fi Confidential, 12 months warranty. Pay £10 more and get it from John Lewis with 24 months warranty.

Good speaker IMO especially for these who do not want to pay Sonos or Bose prices. Probably not as good as Sonos/Bose but more than likely better than Echo or Google Home.

A solid start for LG’s venture into smart speakers and its new partnership with Meridian
  • Powerful, punchy bass
  • Large-scale sound
  • Impressive with voices
  • Good level of detail
  • Google Assistant, and Google Home app, are nice to use

Sorry thought you might of seen the 10% code that is on loads of deals posted in the last 24 hours. Your deal still is best so ignore me.

Okay so this is your subjective opinion but have you actually listened/compared the devices though?

Thanks! I am trying to ignore the Ebay codes, as always when this comes i end up buying things I don't need:). Yes, you can use the code, but sadly, even with the code and from the same merchant, the price will be higher.

It is my subjective opinion based on price and reputation. The LG in the shop sounded loud and really good. I am not good at comparing, as I have a Bose and an Echo and to me both sound the same. I would like to believe the Bose is much better, as it was not cheap, unfortunately I am not an audiophile, so to me the quality of the sound is the same. This is why I said 'in my opinion'.

Probably because Bose are hyped up but generally not that good.Hence why it sounds the same as the echo.

Better than a google home max???

Probably not. I assume this will be more on par with the standard size Google Home

Google Home Max is in a different league, cant really compare this with a £300+ speaker. However, it is bigger and looks better built than your standard Echo or Google speaker.
Closest comparison here would be the onkyo g3. This is a bit louder and less bass heavy than that. Good sound. Not top of the scale but not far off for the average user. Bassheads go for the onkyo, audiophiles increase your budget.

Lots of complains about base too heavy on Onkyo, also about the Alexa integration. If I was to chose in between these 2, I would have gone for Onkyo, but after reading so many unexpected negative reviews (considering the brand reputation) I gave it a miss. Not to forget, the Onkyo was/is £49 and with luck some got it for under £30 from HMV, so a better deal considering the price.

I have the onkyo. It's fine for the kind of music I play, though I wish I could have gotten the Groupon jbl link 10 delivered to ireland. Might have suited me better
