That's unfortunate...and I'm sorry about this. But surely your fight was with the retailer who sold you the tv not directly with LG.

I agree when you buy a tv it should be the retailer you contact.

Unfortunately some like Argos Clearance Stores pass the buck so if you buy a laptop from them and it arrives faulty they insist you contact a third party.

I find that unacceptable.

I've got a LG 42" LCD. ( the Scarlet one )
and it's been very good over the last 3 years.
.
I woulden't touch a plasma with a barge pole.
The're very unrliable, so I've heard
.......They say better picture in the press, but is it worth it?

a common misconception.. plasma are reliable as any LCD... good and bad of course.....

The retailer punted me back to LG, I can't remember how many times I had to go over and over with the same story about the tv to each person at LG (monkeys) Eventually I spoke to a manager at LG customer services who eventually got it all sorted out!
This was after 4 months of persuing it! So no it was with LG I had the problem with and I will NEVER buy a tv from them again

The retailer span you out I'm afraid. Sale of goods act. Your contract is with the sales point.

Nope, I held up the sales of goods act, because the Tv had initially been 'sorted' with LG then the case had to continue with LG

Ok. Guess we'll agree to disagree. Sorry you had a bad deal. Out of interest what did you replace the defunct LG with?

So should lg be avoided due to these red sparkles or are people being over picky?
