Libby's orange juice @ tesco for 33p

Found 5th Mar 2010
My first topic went a little bit wrong, so going to try this again. Tried to search and found nothing on this so go easy on me :).

Just got back from tesco and bought a few cartons of 1L libby's orange juice for 33p each. Obviously from concentrate, but still tastes pretty good. Theres supposed to be another flavour but i didnt see anything, and cannot find out if its online because i dont have a tesco account. Guessing its just a cheap nationwide price as its a normal sticker.

Please let me know if ive fudged this deal up or not, cheers

Ingredients: Water, Orange Juice from Concentrate (25%), Citric Acid, Vitamin C, Flavouring, Sweetener (Sucralose)
- williham

See williham's list of ingredients above - this is an orange drink. It is not orange juice.

You've basically bought cordial in a carton!

tastes nicer than the value orange juice IMO, and its cheaper, and its good for you

its actually quite nice and doesnt have the unpleasant effect of pure orange juice if you catch my drift great price ill be stockin up cheers

You'd be better off buying a bottle of regular orange squash and adding your own water. Voted cold.

gd price, but hate the stuff, too much water in it!! prefer the adsa own one, pur orange juice lol

There is no point voting cold because you dont like the product? Thats not what deals is about!

Anyways, I dont like this, but I do like the apple juice one, very very refreshing!

This stuff tastes loads better than cordial....Doesn't even compare.

I'd have to agree! Sure it doesn't taste like real OJ either but I really like the stuff. Very refreshing and great for a hangover!

this stuff seems as though it would be nice with lemonade. if only i picked up some lemonade...

I love Orange C and haven't seen it for ages, so this deal is excellent but many people hate the taste.

It is far better than Sunny D which is the same sort of concept but has (or had) lots more additives in.

Mind you, my taste buds are a tad strange. I loved plastic cups of kia-ora that you used to get in the cinema that you pierced with straws. They tasted more of plastic than orange, but in a nice way:p

And I still yearn for a refreshing glass of Kellogs"Rise and Shine" orange juice, made from powder :w00t:

We obviously have similar taste! I remember my dad used to bring that stuff when we went on holiday to save money! I loved it thankfully!!

This used to taste nice but they changed the ingrediants, and the taste went with it, and now its in new packaging and has a horrible-er taste.

Good price, but Im not a fan of it

On long car journeys I used to pretend it was petrol and we couldn't get home without it.
I used to direct Sooty puppet shows out of the rear window on the motorway too

Whatever you might think of this stuff, and whether you think 33p for a litre of watered down orange juice with added sweetener is a bargain or not, the title needs changing. As people have pointed out, it's simply NOT orange juice, which is why they're not allowed to call it that. It's orange drink - basically strong orange squash.

OP - please change the title and description so that people here aren't misled.

Horrible just like diluted squash better off buying a litre of that instead

When was this? Last week?

Heat for the deal.

This is disgusting stuff - sweeteners and flavouring. About right for 33p.

its disgusting doesnt even taste like proper orange juice...

Love Orange C! Great price.

its a good price, meaning its a deal. theres lots of "deals" on the high street and just because i dont like some of them, like a new handbag, doesnt make them bad. it makes them a deal (a good price), just not something id personally want.

But, as several people have pointed out, it isn't orange juice, and your post is misdescribing the stuff and misleading people. Why not edit it to correct the mistake, as suggested?

Orange Juic-£1.32 1L-cold

Not a great price for something which isn't 100% orange juice.
Rather spend another 17p and buy some Princes 100% Orange Juice at Tesco
