sounds weird, but baked beans, chicken thighs and black pepper in a slow cooker.... delicious. Brown the thighs off in a pan first

Just something i thought I'd share for thrifty recipes.

the reduced sugar and salt beans from aldi are perfectly decent as well.... Cheapest place for low calorie version of beans..

What part of one recipe, means you can't` try other recipes through your life?

If you think chicken thighs or baked beans have no taste, I suggest you cut the fags out.

Alternatively, you could try the recipe then decide if you like it, don't tell me, you don't eat any "foreign muck" either? lol

I am guessing your lidl displayed them wrongly as I got 2 packs of the thighs for £2.09. So have some for the freezer as well.

Personally I dont think I would like chicken and baked beans. But thats cos I dont really like the sauce with the beans. But if you spice it up or pepper it, it will change the flavour and there will be an altogether different effect.

I like various beans and they help to bulk out a meal more cheaply than lots of meat so its worth trying it for those who have many mouths to feed or who are trying to stretch the budget.

It might take a while till I get round to trying them all, as I got loads of other short dated bargains. So even the lemon chicken is on hold
