Why can't some posters understand that individual views on different coffee beans are always going to vary? Much like sausages and cheese it's a highly personal opinion. I think these are OK, on a par with Lavazza Rossa, but that means nothing. It's just a personal view. Try them, and if you don't like them what have you lost? Coffee snobs can be even worse than wine snobs!

Awful taste. Tried once- never again. Cheap for a reason.

Might give them a go as I like the other Lidl beans and also the bags are easier to open and RE-seal than the Aldi ones /that I also like.
I like them. Used to get Lavazza super crema but found these better. Quite strong taste but we like it that way.

Don't say that as I bought 2 bags last weekend and I haven't got down to them yet.
But the price of coffee beans has dropped drastically....so I was hoping to see the prices dropping in the shops.

Yeah, if you mean burnt beans - strong taste, then you are right. They are over burnt, very bitter taste...awful...

No i do not mean burnt beans. I find these to give a strong flavour in a good way but no bitter. Each person's taste buds are different so don't blame you for not liking them. As i said as a comparison, if you like Lavazza supercrema or Lavazza espresso, i found the Bellarom espresso beans as good as the mentiond.

Interesting, I love Lavazza espresso so might give these a go
Prefer these to the Lavazza which I think are on offer (£6.99 I think) at Costco at the minute for those who prefer them.

Sausage and cheese. Not tried that yet.
Been struggling to get through a bag of these, wouldn't buy again. Life's too short for bad beans
I like these and keep them alongside my Lavazza beans, just for a change. They are dark roast which is why some will see them as ‘burnt’. They have a strong taste which makes for a punchy coffee, and at this price, they can be used for every cup rather than when guests come round. If too bitter, then add a little sugar to take the edge off.
I bought 2 X 1kg bags of these for £8 each a couple of months ago, I like my coffee strong and these hit the mark. I find I don't have to use nearly so much in the coffee maker to get a decent brew they therefore go a lot further lasting longer. They do the job at an excellent price, I enjoy the flavour and taste.
You can also blend them with other beans and develop a coffee to suit your own taste.

Exactly for us coffee lovers who love to mess around and create our own blends. We eventually get it right at times as well.
Nothing wrong with them I can’t honestly taste a difference between them and cheap lavazza beans
