A multimeter can be had for around £2.70 delivered and will be infinitely more useful.

One thing the post doesn't make clear is these are £2.99 each, other then the oil wrench (which there is no picture of so hard to tell what style it is) none of the other tools are worth it.

OP: please change '&' to 'or' in your headline - misleading otherwise.

I test my battery the good old fashioned way. If my car starts the battery is fine, if it doesn't then it's not

Would you please advise where I can get a multi-meter for £2.70 delivered?

How accurate would they be though?

More accurate then a device that uses 3 lights to indicate voltage

If you want to avoid the hassle of opening your bonnet to check battery/alternator is charged/working go for this little gadget......I have multimeters and a similar tool to the Lidl alternator check but this little gadget is the dogs preverbials:

Says all it needs to say!

a multimeter might not pick up problems with a battery, whereas a good battery tester will. a bad battery can still put out good voltage when there's no load on it. of course i have no idea if this is a good or bad tester :-)

not in every store :-(

In order to test a car battery, you have to put a load on it and check the voltage drop, hence 'drop tester'.
Looking at the thin wires on this, it is probably just a rudimentary voltage tester.
Save your money.

This obviously isnt a drop tester.
