Could be a Lidl more subtle

Unfortunately not everyone has the financial means of shopping for more expensive named brands. Some children are more than happy to get something new regardless of where it was bought from.

I think you've missed the point. This deliberately branded stuff is deliberately ironic, made for social media etc. Even for the luxury brands logomania is ironic, with many slapping FAKE across their products.

People who are financially struggling can buy stuff from Lidl etc without all the branding slapped across it.

These trainers ended up getting resold on Ebay last time around. (edited)

They should make all company staff wear them as part of their uniform.

I agree with you entirely, but if Lidl want people to advertise for them they should be a lot cheaper, they're hardly a designer label. Not as though I'm in to all the hype surrounding so called designer labels.

What's even more unfortunate is how many people are unable to detect irony and clever marketing gimmicks. These aren't intended to help clothe families on a low income. They are for people who want to show up to a party dressed as 'Lidl man'

It's a lot like the Tesco Value/Asda Price greetings cards. People buy them for a bit of a joke, consumers can have a laugh about it, retailers still make a profit and get a bit of free advertising to boot. You can buy these clothing items elsewhere for less money. Primark would be a better choice for those on a budget.

You can buy plenty of similarly priced things from TU, F&F, or Primark which are not clear as day where they were bought from.

A parent buying this ridiculous stuff for their child is needlessly subjecting them to abuse.

The "named brands" argument is irrelevant. That's not the point.

These are for adults as they are in adult sizes........ they …These are for adults as they are in adult sizes........ they haven't been aimed at/made for children.Lidl often have childrens (and adults) trainers, socks and swim shorts in that are "normal" looking for less money than these without any branding on them and they are spot on (we have some) So even better than these as people with low financial means can get something good quality and new.

Well that's ruined that episode of virtue signalling.

They keep it interesting with new products each week, and I find their stuff generally tastes better anyway. Their meat isn't the best, but it's on par with Tesco anyway.

LIDL deluxe beech smoked, dry cured bacon is, in my opinion, the best bacon you can buy from a supermarket, and I've tried them all (Sainsbury’s a close second)

waddling around lidl and picking up ugly cheap clothes because you can't …waddling around lidl and picking up ugly cheap clothes because you can't be bothered to find something that looks half decent instead is lazy. No one with any self respect or dignity would walk around in lidl trainers. The only people i can see buying stuff like this is the people who lean their gut over their trolley pushing their belly around the shop. You don't need to have money to have ok looking clothes on.

They might not be suitable for your appearance, but other might like them...
