Some good bits to be had. I believe the stuff in general are of reasonable quality. I got their spoke reflectors the last time and very pleased with how much more side-visibility they give for night time use!

Thanks to okeydokey79 on cyclechat for giving us the heads up!

Here's a picture of the spoke reflectors which I think are a steal for what they do. Keep in mind the flash was on. They don't light up by themselves but do a fantastic job at reflecting lights from cars etc.

The padded cycling tights and bib longs at £9.99 each look to be a steal too, although I haven't tried them personally so can't comment on the quality.

Ah I missed that, cheers!

Is it worth leaving this up for the other stuff or should I take it down?

Leave it up it is good info. Thanks for posting

Wow those reflectors are cool, getting some. The cycling shorts are decent, so I imagine the rest will be

anyone think the floor pump looks good value this one
Edited by: "phatbhoy" 22nd Aug 2012

Thanks OP

Floor Pump - My tyres need pumping up to 120psi so the pump isn't good enough unfortunately, OK for mountain bike tyres I suppse.

Regarding the track pump, i would save up for the Topeak Joe Blow sport 2, really well made, I have heard not great things about the pumps.

The clothing on the other hand, is much to be recommended, and is often featured in web forums and cycling magazines as being of great quality (as is Aldi cycling gear)

Has anyone ever bought one of the bib trousers? at £9.99 look like a steal!!

I concur - the pumps are crap! You can pick up a decent on for roughly £10-£15 that will last.

Wiggle were doing their Lifeline Magazine 5+ rated one for a tenner just after Xmas.

I have a Beto that is excellent and I think cost about £12.

Been waiting for cycling stuff to come up again and IIRC the panniers usually have a 3 Yr warranty and get well rated

Surely this should be hot by now?

I guess it is not a flash drive or video game so limits it to people who actually get off their asses.

Think the word apparel is probabaly putting people off too.

ALDI usually have them at a similar time, I'm waiting for them to announce this Sundays deal as I have a voucher. Not sure if I really need long leg pants with braces, the cycling capri pants caused enough laughter at work

Pretty sure that they both use the same supplier but with different branding as the last saddle bag I bought from Lidl fits the Aldi QR mount.

Unless you are a brand snob I think both their cycling gear is excellent VFM

Hope others had better luck than me. Everything gone except XL and I was at my Lidl early this morning. Think they must have had the gear out over the weekend. Asked one of the staff and they said that there was no more stock in store. Drats

What did Hollymia do to get suspended??

Bought a load of the lidl gear today. The gilet, arm and leg warmers, shorts, trousers and jerseys are top notch. Their helmets are also superb, much improved over previous designs.

I've got a new Lidl opening near me the first week of September, I'm hoping the cycling stuff will be a part of their opening stock list.

some good gear there, them gloves will be good with the autumn coming up,yer mitts can get rather chilly on a bike

i got some spoke reflectors last time, gonna get some more though as didn't get enough before

cheers op

Got some cycling pants, reflectors and gloves this lunchtime

Just got 2 boxes of reflectors. Will think up some interesting patterns

Looks good, shame I don't have a Lidl nearby. I bought some of those spoke reflectors in Halfords last week, the were 20% off so aound £6. They look good though I do have some doubts as to whether they would be that effective once coverered in all the dirt and grease that gets on your spokes, not sure how well they'd clean up either as that material does seem to "absorb" grime!

Pants are cheap, but don't get to excited, the quality of material is not very good. I bought a pair and after a few days of use, the material starts to wear at the pockets' seams, the fibers get a little spaced out and you can see through material.

make way, make way for the brand snobs to poo poo this!...nice one OP.heat.

I recommend the spoke reflectors too, I got them last time they were on sale in Lidl and they're great for making yourself a little more visible, plus they look cool!

I bought the panier bag set too as they were really cheap at £17 and seem pretty great and much more practical than me strapping my bag on my rack

I've been wearing LIDL cycling shorts most days for about a year, never had any issues with them, bought a new pair today, which I wouldn't do if they were rubbish.

The cycle helmets are pretty good, they have a light in the back of them

I thought they were good value but the one I bought started leaking air within a few months of use. Prob better to spend a bit more and get a Topeak one.
