I know that my fellow bargain hunters here share a passion for bagging a great gadget at a great price and Lidl have come to our rescue. In the past, third hands have been very popular here and this one wont dissapoint, because it takes the third hand to another level at a stunning price. I hope you all agree!

LED and 2.5x or 5x magnification
Height adjustable for optimum precision
With 2 adjustable clamps to hold workpiece
With soldering iron holder
Batteries included

simalar on amazon Rolson Tools 60335 Heavy Duty Helping Hand with 60mm Magnifying Glass £2.94 free del

Bought one of these last time they were on sale. Very poor quality, the light only works intermittently and the grips for the clamps are crude and unreliable.

Cheap, but not worth the money.

If this was 10 times bigger, I'd have a use for it.

Looks to be about the normal price for this type of thing give take take 50p so nor voting hot or cold

What's the price? It's not in the post.

Really? You mean your head would fit in it?

I bought one of these last time - it's actually only 2.5x & the little disc to the side is the 5x. Too little magnification for my requirements, so it went back. Seemed fine for the money though.

TThe soldering rest will be really handy when needs repairing after a little bit of use.

Zomg, I went out looking for one of these yesterday, thanks op. I usually put rubber bands on the back of a pliers to make them hold stuff but Mrs. Duck threw out all the rubber bands I had lying about. I can't find it on the site, is it in the shops now?

Thought the build up was better

Just follow your local postie, they leave a trail of quite nice quality bands in their wake.:)

Except for the fact that the Rolson one does not light up or have a soldering iron holder.

This third hand did disappoint! Bought one last time. LED light is useless - magnifier next to.
Took them off and use it as a holder for soldering - not ideal as it has a limited range of adjustment.
Save your money and buy the Maplin Magnifier Lamp next time it's on offer - got mine for around £20.

Exactly, 2.5 times is useless. What you gain in size, you lose in contrast, sharpness, and eye coordination.

A cheap gimmick for a cheap price, but no deal.

That's where I got them all from in the first place. I did have a big box of the things but they went all weird, some gluey, some brittle, all useless. Wonder if that happens with those massive lakky band balls that mad people make?

I wondering about the arms on this as they look like they'd just be able to swivel up or down and not all over the shop like the ones I've used before.

Anyone can recommend a cheap but cheerful soldering iron?
