Lidl are doing Dolce Gusto pods now for only £2.49. They have cappuccino, Latte Machiatto and Lungo. They are not bad taste wise and given the price of pods now this are well worth a look.

Good on Lidl. Enjoy.

I'll give them a go but just bought re-fillable pods on Ebay. They work ok.
Just one thing with these pods. The milk pod I find is perfect but the coffee pods can in some cases build up to much pressure in my machine and I almost feel it will break so I stop it. When you open a Dolce pod and a Caffe Bella you can see the difference and why it happens. But worth £2.49.
At last! Hopefully the coffee tastes as good as the Nescafe pods. Thanks OP, will pay a visit to Lidl tomorrow.
I've been buying the cappucino and Latte macciatto ones for a cople of weeks now and three coffee drinkers in the house like them (even the fussier one). A complete bargain in my opinion making the pods much more affordable - just wish there were more flavours.

The coffee pod is richer than the originals in my opinion... but half the powder in milk pots never dissolve.

I had three of eight cappuccino coffee pods fail to dispense properly, one didn't let any coffee through at all and the other two just a tiny dribble. When they work they're good but I don't want to destroy the machine. Then again that'd be a perfect excuse to switch to bean-to-cup...
I bought a pack of 16 Lungo pods. Out of the 12 used so far 5 failed to dispense properly. The initial puncture is made and the coffee begins to dispense then shortly after a popping noise is heard and water cascades from the machine. One even sprayed hot water out over my hand. On examining the edge of the pod you can see where the seal has punctured. Won’t be buying again.
i bought Cappuccino pods. the milk pods are disaster, Hot milk flooded everywhere! it went inside my machine and it wouldn't turn on anymore, i thought it was done for but i left it to dry, luckily it worked again.
The quality of the Lidl DG-compatibles is not good - the coffee isn't too bad but far too many failures during coffee dispensing. The Aldi equivalent product is better.

We had a similar problem with several of the pods in a bag of Café au Lait bought here in France. I think there may be a design fault or at least some batches which need to be recalled.
