Good bargain. Thanks.

has anyone used this before?
how does it compare to other well known brands ?

I'm pretty sure Formil came out tops in Superscrimpers' washing powder test recently. I know their W5 Dishwasher Tablets came out near the top in a Which! test.

this stuff is great0. . I use this all the time

its showing as 9.99 for a 100 pack wash

Brilliant stuff as mentioned before this came out equal to name brands in testing.

Used to use exclusively Persil non bio 15 years and switched about 8 years' ago to almost exclusively Formil non bio. In the 8 years for me after possibly having used in excess of 100 X 5kg bags for my washing there was no difference in cleanliness. I don't have heavily soiled games kit any more so don't know how this performs in difficult wash. The money saved compared to Persil over the years is huge amount of money. Most of the extra money that you pay for Persil and other brand leaders goes straight into public relations, sales commission, bonuses, advertising, promotion and marketing campaigns: a million ways to tell you it washes whiter than white.

Use this stuff regularly now and never missed the big branded variety. Infact, the variety I use is concentrated powder so goes a long way. I'd never go back to the overpriced stuff. Highly recommend formil.

I'm assuming it applies to two packs, I'm going to have a look in Lidl later on

How does it smell? I find some of the cheap stuff leaves a poor smell.

It doesn't it has no nose!

Thanks. Use this all the time!

My mum uses this and loves it, i think she likes it because theres not much fragrance to it. Hasn't ruined anything and washes just as well as any others.

Best of own brands in Which? tests.

Another good tip is not to follow the 100 washes as a guide. Adjust and use as little powder as possible.

may try this. is it bio or non bio?

Anyone know how this compares with aldi own brand stuff? If it's comparable it's an amazing deal.

Just browsing the hard copy magazine and it has the Biological on 'limited offer' - 100 washes at £9.49 (15th - 21st May). OP is this a current deal?

use this all the time. As good as persil Ariel etc, but at a fraction of the price.

usually about £8 or £9 for the100 wash box, which is good deal, so 2 for £14 excellent.

scored very highly in tests a couple of years ago

yes its the bio on offer. £9.49 for one or two for £14.

Anybody know if they do the equivalent 'Colour' option that tends to be in the purple boxes in other brands, or do they just do the Bio and Non-bio ?

Thanks

they do colour but its not on this offer ATM x

Couldn't see it at my local store this morning, will check again later

I got it from Runcorn store. Don't know if its national or not but worth checking for those who are going Lidl anyway.

I bought some from North Walsham on the deal a couple of weeks ago. It is great stuff! I just use a conditioner with it as well to give everything a nice smell. As I live in a hard water area, I will only get about 75 washes out of it, although I noticed someone else implied that you don't need to use as much as Lidl recommend, anyone else found this?

Thanks. Still, seems like the non-offer price isn't too bad for the amount of washes it gives though.

not seen this offer in barnsley lidl was in there an hour ago brilliant powder though bye it all time

Someone previously said it starts on the 15th May.

Totally missed that thanks

£9.49 in my local, but they do have the smaller 65 wash pack for £6.19 which is very near the same price per wash.

The OP said they already got the offer at the Runcorn store, so maybe some of the stores started the offer early.

I find all things I have bought from lidl are brilliant, and very cheap.I wish they did online shopping.

Is the £6.19 price a usual price for it or is it an offer price? Because that size is more manageable when you only have limited space in the kitchen.

Not sure TBH, I would assume its on offer as it brings it very close to the 100 wash price.

£0.0952 per wash (£6.19 / 65)

£0.0949 per wash (£9.49 / 100)

Oh, I see. Sorry, I assumed you were a regular buyer of the 65 wash version, that's why I asked if that was the usual price of the powder.

I used to buy the bigger brands of soap powder,I thought I would try lidl ,as it was a lot cheaper, and to me it is just as good,I also like there cake called eaton mess, cheap, and very yummy.

They do a bio and a non bio version

Checked two of my local stores and they only have 65 wash boxes, nothing in 100.

Why pay out more hard earned cash, when you can buy something just as good,or even better, for something a lot cheaper.

Just bought 2 for $ 14. Hidden in another corner. Display says $9.49. In a very small writing says 2 for $14. On normal display place are loads of 65 for $1.61 each. Ask an assistant and he will guide you to the deal place.
