Lidl green discount ‘waste not’ stickers now just 20p (instore)

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

I went shopping to my local Lidl earlier, and noticed all the green 'waste not' stickers were just 20 pence (previously 70p)

I got two fresh chicken kormas and a massive tomato and mozzarella pasta bake.... all 20p each so the lot for 60p !

Is this a permanent fixture going forwards?

It seems to vary in my local. Some stuff at 90p, some at 70p & some at 20p.
At my local this morning they were all 90p. Must depend on the store.
I didn't know that lidl done that sort of thing, I'd be tempted to try some of there food if I could get a couple of deals, so I'll need to remember to check my local.
used to depend on how much it used to cost
cheap stuff - down to 20, otherwise 70
possibly ran out of stickers or put on wrong ones?
doesn't sound like a deal if so
Depends on the item and not a deal
They had this at my local but unfortunately not all the staff seem to be on board. The lady at the till refused to sell a 'waste not' curry marked 20p to me as it was out of date. I thought that was the point?

Was a deal a month or two, they were introduced to more aggressively discount food and ‘reduce wastage’. They still have 30% off as well that is done 2/3 days before best before and these are used on the day.

mine has the 30% off but doesn’t have these stickers most of the time as people quickly buy them,

If it was a use by (which it most likely was) it can’t be sold. Best before is a different matter
The £2 and 90p stickers are for meat and poultry items...the 70p and 20p are for chiller items. Finial sticker price is determined by original shelf price

Mine still use 30% on some chiller (I think then they have a lot of excess stock)

The 30% still get used, the Green stickers get put on on the "used by" date rather than them going in the bin like they used to
This is incorrect.
Prices vary. Not everything is 20p with the green sticker

Not really, they are suppose to sell before it expires. She has done the right thing if you ask me. However, she could have given it to you for free :-)
20p stickers for stuff that expires 'today', 70p stickers for stuff that expires tomorrow.

This is what I experienced in Hornchurch store on Friday before filling my arms with everything that could be frozen.

Happy hunting
These stickers are easily missed by the cashier
I have bought some several times and if you don't keep a close eye they tend to put them through at full price.
We get the bread @ 20p and freeze it for toast 🏻
Never seen these stickers in my local, but I notice that at least they have a barcode - the orange stickers don't and thus need an assistant at the self-service tills.

Same. Now I peel the sticker off and put it over the barcode
Some are in our local too. Not all is discounted though
