I am imagining it is going to be very local and store specific, even if it is national?

Still, I am hoping to find time to call in for something tomorrow anyway, so at last it is a bit of a "head's up" warning for me if I do get there :-)

Good point, hadn't looked at the start date :-(

This is presumably them clearing out all those leftover specials that otherwise turn the stores into a cross between a bric-a-brac & jumble sale store - which my two local Aldi's seem to be becoming as their 'specials' seem to stay on the shelves for not just weeks but months and months - in a way they never used to.

I find Aldi deals hang around a lot longer than they used to... one time if they were there the same DAY, it was unusual! Lidl seems to clear out a bit quicker though, although both stores haven't recently had anything like the great offers that they were famous for in the past :-(

Yeah, I noticed that myself. maybe the strength of the euro against the pound means the prices are going up, so there aren't the mega bargains there used to be?

I think it goes back a bit longer than that though.... as both stores have become more well known, the better bargains have reduced - PC & technology deals in particular :-(

guess a lot of the items are one-of's, you only need 1 hammer, 1 coffe table, so once everyones got one, they cant sell them....:p:p

Yummy deal?
never thought i'd hear anyone say yummy about there being a few quid off a circular saw?

Ah, there's a couple of things I fancy at 75% off in our local Lidl...

£2.50 car jack sounds to good to be true, not sure if id trust £2.50 to hold the weight of a car :whistling: Will probably get one anyway as you can never have to many jacks

Why do Lidl do welding accessories?
