Yeah I'd much rather have cheap prosecco than free tuition, free prescriptions, free personal care for my elderly parents etc.
Would be hot but this is Lidl and they will do their normal bull**** of sending 36 bottles to each store so unless you get there at 5am you won't get any.

Shouldn't be allowed, if a national retailer advertises it they should order reasonable stock to last a trading day.

Try in Ilford or newham where the majority don't drink alcohol.

I belive this offer might be in Northern Ireland only

They (and Aldi) are constantly outperforming the bigger supermarkets in delivering quality wines to the UK.

Both are 'fizzy' wines, it's just that Frizzante wines have between 2.5 and 3.5 bars of atmosphere/pressure while Spumante wines are usually between 5 and 6 bars; same wine, different levels of fizz.
Neither is inferior/superior to the other, it's just a matter of personal taste.

It's £5.25 in Scottish stores right now - that's 40p cheaper - the spumante version is £5.99, granted it's not as cheap as Buckie' but it's still cheaper than this 'offer'. Mon' the Hibernians!

In what context? I've seen "customer satisfaction" surveys claiming similar things, but all they really do is show that an average Lidl/Aldi customer has lower expectations.

It won't be due to the banning of alcoholic multibuys and promotions.

Having tried plenty in general in Aldi and Lidl you get more for your money if you are after something sub-£7 and don't know much about wines. They have a smaller selection but that seems to be in their favour as they can be more aggressive about removing the less popular lines.

If you want something a bit special then your only choice is the supermarkets, and likewise if you know your wine they sometimes have good deals especially in the save 25% multibuys. However, likewise they have some utter rubbish. In fact anywhere that decides to stock Echo Falls is guaranteed to have rubbish.

No guarantees though. The worst ever wine I've had was a South African bottle from Tesco. Second worst was an Italian wine from Aldi.

I rarely drink wines but I noticed that some beers in Lidl taste a bit different than bought somewhere else (Speckled Hen for example).

Digging deeper, I compared the ingredients in Knorr vegetable stock pots from Lidl and Sainsbury's - same brand, same packaging, and yet those from Lidl had more salt and less actual vegetables.

I've never been to their store since.
