Fruit and Fruit & Nut versions included. 750g. Super deal bearing in mind this is an absolute bargain even at normal price. Other supermarkets charge £3 and upwards for the equivalent. Best Muesli out there for me. Usually 12mths on the 'use by' date, so stock up!

The last time I looked this was getting on for 25% sugar content - not far off a bowl of Frosties!

I'm not sure 'sumptuous' and 'muesli' should be included in the same sentence.

Better off getting the Tesco Everyday Value Muesli
1kg for £1.20 and no added sugar.

Most of these cereals are labeled "no extra sugar" but it's the naturally-occurring sugar in the dried fruit that pushes up the content. Home Bargains are doing one with around 12% sugar and it's quite good.

The Tesco one doesn't state no extra sugar on the bag.
Is just the naturally occurring sugar which is probably quite low due to the mixed fruit is only 4.5%

As the others have already pointed out, this doesn't have any added sugar (well the except for what is added to the pineapple pieces in the fruit-only - green packet - version).

But a muesli with 45% or so fruit and nuts is going to be high in fruit sugars and fat from the nuts.

So, yes a 45%+ muesli is going to be very rich but this comes from using large quantities of expensive ingredients, totally unlike Frosties which just uses cheap ingredients and sugar.

Similarly, in Lidl's Alpen Fest week a few weeks ago they had these fancy pastries with almonds and/or hazelnuts. The one had around 40% nuts so again it was very rich but really good quality, the kind of thing you might find in German, Swiss or Italian Xmas baking.

In terms of a healthy muesli you can probably get better from a proper healthfood shop or making your own but one made with wholegrain flakes of barley, oat, rye and other seeds (sunflower etc.) is hardly going to appeal to mainstream pallets.
