Well if you need one and you're out on a wild goose chase anyway it'll do …Well if you need one and you're out on a wild goose chase anyway it'll do no harm

This close to Christmas I've boarded up my door and won't step foot outside again until at least April, when the chaos has died down a bit.

The thought of entering a supermarket on Xmas eve, is truly awful.

I quite like it. You can pretend the apocalypse has come and everyone is fighting over the remaining scraps of food.

I got one of these on Boxing Day last year for £2. It fed me for a week.
Are the dates okay?
I dont have space in freezer 😔
Tbh most people shop 2 days before xmas and today shops be pretty quiet.
went yesterday to tesco, parked in family space (had kids with me), check out was empty on the end (people did queue different side of store though lol).
in and out in 15 mins.

Hope I have the same experience later this afto for xmas dinner (I'm flexible on what it will be but wish me luck anyway cos I'll likely need it )
Yup Xmas eve afternoon is a ninja time for us chaos to shop. Pretty quiet and lots of deals in between guys buying anything that looks mildly tangible

you be fine!

I had youngest holding my hand. other hand push trolley. older 2 followed me or took things from shelves for me. it's a military procedure, i don't like proper shopping, give me online anytime lol
My partner works in Lidl and I can confirm that the large fresh Turkey crowns (not free range unfortunately) have been reduced from £20 to £10. Pretty good dates on them too No luxury ones left in his store (based in Swansea), just the regular line. Quite a few left
Non left in the Swalwell store
None left when I went in a few minutes ago

There wont be, people go in and bulk grab the lot. I would have put them at 1 per customer, but it is what it is.

No Turkey but got a Christmas sandwich for 20p

Nope - ours is just 30% off as well, no dirt cheap (or gobble) turkeys
Don’t eat meat so matters not to me though - still a good heads up for people wanting turkey though
But think it’s store specific - some a tenner, some 30% off

Free range is somewhat a myth though. If you must continue to eat animals, organic is the only way to go.

Just came back from Sainsbury's - queues are shorter than normal, prices as crazy as always, so got my baguette and cat food and was in and out under 10 minutes.
Just a quick reminder on how to prepare and cook your turkey properly this Christmas with advice from the Food Standards Agency 👇

Might head to Sainsbury’s today then. Love ALDI and Lidl but can’t stand queuing for ages sometimes.
Only 30%off in cov an hour ago. Very ambitious

Free range also reduced to a tenner
Are these self-basting turkeys? or do you need to use a spoon?
The halal turkeys are a rip off. I paid £35 yesterday from Asda, Small Heath.
Not yet reduced at Hunslet Leeds
