Lidl's Baselayer - your second skin £9.99

Found 13th Mar 2013
Comparing price with other brands, great deal, usually they start from 20£ up to 80£.
Very good base layer top, not only for boys. I got similar one for last 6 months, works great for cycling, running or just going outside when it's cold.
What I like most - Insulation and ventilation zones, kidney warmer - essential for breathability and comfort. It's very stretchy, so stick to your body like a second skin. Some brands are much more expensive and they don't have those features.
BIG THANKS for HUKD members, such a quick response.

these are SUPERB. They wash extremely well, and keep you nice and warm. I use mine for cycling and its been brilliant.

Do you know if this a national deal or store specific?

Also from what day are they available?

Yeah I grabbed one of the tops the other day. The loose running shorts aren't bad either but couldn't find the compression shorts in small. Bought mediums but not quite as tight as they should be. seem good value though.

I have bought the Aldi version and excellent item to have. I wear mine at footy and kept me nice and warm /dry.

You can check most info on Lidl's website. Just type your postcode. They are available from Monday 11/03/13. Usually they staying on shelves until all gone, depend on product popularity. Motorcycle baselayers and gloves gone in 2-3, so if you really like something, get it quickly!

£2 cheaper at aldi? Looks very similar
aldi.co.uk/uk/…htm

Tenn Outdoors stuff on Amazon is far superior IMO and available all year round.

can anyone tell me what it's made out of? like cotton or polyester?

No Lidls or Aldis withing 20 miles of me....not worth the saving as you can't buy these online - unless someone wants to correct me with a link?

My lidl only ever has xl or xxl :[

wasn't this £5 few weeks back?

still worth £10 IMO brilliant tops

EDIT: sorry that was for the base layer vest. good price if there the same quality

Any base layer made with cotton is pointless as it traps sweat and thereby cools the body down faster than other materials.

They have half decent baselayers in home bargains about £5

The Sondico ones sold at Sports Direct are surprisingly good too. Very comfortable.

Are these light enough to wear for footy?

I thought if they were for motorcycling they would be heavy duty kinda things?!

Not that great. I got my Nike Dry Fit baselayer for the same price from JJB some time ago.

I try the motorcycle one, my mate got it. A bit stiff and thicker than regular one.

Well, I just don't like to pay for a brand, prefer to pay for quality.

Here are some pics I snapped today at LIDL (click on the little pictures for bigger)
That was in LIDL Cricklewood (London) - plenty left even Medium. There were 3 variations: red, olive, all black.

Sorry, forget about Space Silver, Gold, Diamond and Platinum Technology
It's all marketing folks.
Recipe for money:
Simple product+big brand+cool name=customer will pay four times more

So are these supposed to be there right now? I've tried a few different postcodes and I don't see any base layers showing up until next Thursday... and the ones that they show there are sleeveless.

Very confused.

Just got one from my local Lidl instore (Battle Hill Drive, NE28 9RA Newcastle Upon Tyne)
Can not complain for the price!

Long sleeves are not longer available in Lidl's website, BUT they are still in the shops.
You just need to check with your nearest Lidl.

I got some.
Keep you much warmer on your motorbike in the cold weather :-)

Have been using those for years now, both for cycling and motorbike. Top quality, heat added.

LIDL rządzi!
