Well if planet earth was shot in 1080p & that was made a few years before this i would be amazed if this isn't 1080p :thumbsup:

Brilliant price for what's set to be a great series (next episode on Monday people).

It was shot in 1080p. The packaging states 1080i because the 'extra' programs were shot in 1080i so bbc have to put 1080i on the packaging. There was alot of discussion on this when it was released.

Most of it is a mixture of stock SD footage mixed with 1080p and 1080i footage. Having watched enough nature programs to decifer between. I can state categorically state that it is not all 1080p. Hence it shouldn't be advertised as 1080p, and again the packaging says this.
