Plot:
Follow the story of Max Caulfield, a photography senior who discovers she can rewind time while saving her best friend Chloe Price.
The pair soon find themselves investigating the mysterious disappearance of fellow student Rachel Amber, uncovering a dark side to life in Arcadia Bay. Meanwhile, Max must quickly learn that changing the past can sometimes lead to a devastating future.

Reviews:
“The climax of Episode Two is one of the most compelling — and devastating — things I’ve ever experienced in a game, because it’s so real, so understandable. Dontnod nails it.”
8.5/10 – Polygon

“Essential”
9/10 – GamesTM

“Best episodic adventure game out there.”
5/5 – Blogcritics

NOTE: I know this is just episode 1, but it's free so im not complaining. Some of you might already own the game/already played it on a different console but for those who didn't get a chance at least its there in your library doing no harm

isnt the first episode free of all the 5 episode games like this and telltale games? I thought they always were, unless this has recently changed

Yes, it's always been free as far as I'm aware

It wasn't free originally, but has been free for at least a year at this point.
This is called a demo, not a deal
It's been free on every platform for over 2 years now.

    Yes, and overpriced at that.
Sorry but cold. telltale always do this with virtually all their franchises, it's just like a taster/demo, as they are story based games you need the whole season for it to be worthwhile, it's like being able to watch the first 30 minutes of a 2 hour movie, pointless if you can't watch the rest of it.

Humble's recent (now expired sadly) Walking Dead Season 1 Freebie was better as at least you got the whole season....

Does anyone else find these a bit tedious ... long cut scenes .. isn't it better to stick a box set on and sit and watch .. it's like one of those pc point and click games you used to get an age ago like myst ...

May have been for free for at least 1-2 years but I as some others did not know that as that was not posted here. And yes it is more of a demo I understand but I guess in the next year or so the whole game will be free, this was posted for people to just see if they didn't know.
    This was a great game.

Played it when free on PS+.

You're actually expecting a game of this calibre to be free?
    Deal is strange.
This isn't really a deal is it, sorry.

Not out of the realms of possibility at all, as a time limited redemption freebie, of course, as humble recently did with Walking Dead S1. By now they probably aren't selling many units at rrp, maybe a few more recently with the buzz generated by the sequel, but that will soon fall away as many will already have it. It's already been free on subscription services like PS Plus and the first part of the sequel (well technically prequel) is already out, so the next logical step would be a timed freebie sometime over the next year or so.....
