LifeLine TT-01 Turbo Trainer (Magnetic)
Offering you a smooth, realistic indoor training experience at an outstanding value, the TT-01 magnetic bike turbo trainer will help you to maintain your fitness levels when poor weather prevents outdoor riding. Compatible with a wide range of bike types, it comes with an ergonomically shaped handlebar remote to control the 6-levels of resistance. Plus, the included front wheel riser stabilises the front end and makes the riding position more like how your bike would feel on the road.

Stable and User-Friendly
This indoor trainer's quick and easy QR system secures the bike in place and its wide steel construction with rubber feet creates a strong, stiff and stable platform. It features a realistic progressive power curve to simulate real riding conditions and folds up for easy transportation and storage.

The Lifeline TT-01 is now in the Zwift classic trainer hardware list. The Zwift team have configured the power curve to Zwift software and so with the addition of a speed and cadence sensor and ANT+ stick you can now ride the trainer on Zwift with improved accuracy. Convert to a smart trainer with a speed and cadence sensor and ANT+ stick then ride your favourite training software programs like Zwift.

Please Note: Additional options have recently been added to the Lifeline TT-01 page- the Klarfit Trainer in Grey and Black. This trainer comes with the same resistance unit as the TT-01 and has the same frame. The only difference is the axle mounting mechanism is slightly different. Please refer to image 6.

Features:
  • Perfect for cycle training at home
  • Compatibility: Suitable for all common bike types from 26” to 700c
  • Smart Connectivity: None on its own, however additional smart sensors can be purchased separately
  • Compatible Apps: N/A on its own, but compatible with Apps such as Zwift and TrainerRoad with additional sensors (sold separately)
  • Resistance Type: Magnetic resistance adjustable via an ergonomic remote gear lever (Combining gear changes with mechanical resistance will offer an even more varied and customisable workout.)
  • Levels of Resistance: 6
  • Bike Mounting Type: Quick and easy QR system to secure bike in place
  • Realistic progressive power curve to simulate real riding conditions
  • Wide steel construction with rubber feet creates a strong, stiff and stable platform

It's a good price for what it is, but I would highly, highly recommend going for the fluid one.

    1. With the fluid ones, the resistance increases as the speed increases, so it feels natural using your gears to control the resistance (rather than having gears AND the thing which clips on to change resistance)
    2. If at some point you want to try Zwift or another similar "connected" training tool like Wahoo or Training Peaks, the fluid one will work much better
    3. It's quieter
    4. The fluid one has more options open in terms of different bikes working with it, as you can get a more versatile thru-axle adapter for it.

Any recommendations on a fluid one?

Got mine last week, set up over the weekend. Works perfectly and just what I was after. Got the fluid. Thanks again!

Great, for the money you can't go wrong really

Anyone use zwift with these. I saw a cheap Bluetooth + ANT "moofit" sensor for £15 that attaches to the hub of your wheel.

I think it’s possible but a bit hit and miss, I remember having a few issues getting my speed sensor and chest strap to get recognized, but maybe that’s just me.

    Ordered the fluid. Cheers.

Reviews do suggest that the fluid is a far superior machine and TBF isn't much more to buy than this.

If money's not the concern, is paying the extra for the Fluid filled option over this magnetic option the better choice?

I wanted one of these but couldn't justify the cost really. I've bought the fluid. Bought more for me to walk into the garage and get on my bike, a hybrid with thin tubes, stick on some music and just get some exercise. Yes, could go out but there are road works all over the place in Cambridge at the moment and pot holes all over the place. This will get me back into it. Thanks for posting op.

For the bit extra the fluid one seems much better value and also wont sound like a jet engine in whatever room you use it in

I’ve had the fluid one for a few years and still going 💪

I can recommend it as a basic fluid trainer, pretty bomb proof and a no brainer at this price. (edited)

My 20 year old Minoura Hypermag is on its last legs, the cable is about to snap. Used it a fair bit over the years, after reading the reviews I've decided to get the fluid one. Thanks for posting.

Are these any good for using my hybrid in the garage to get a bit of fitness?

As long as noise isn't an issue. I tried this a few years ago and the nobbly tyres made a lot of noise. I'm in a flat above someone so didn't want to use it but you'll probably be fine.

They are noisy but if that’s not a problem, yes, if it is I’d go for the fluid one, much quieter.

If anyone could post a short guide/steps on how to use this for zwift and what else I would need to buy it would be much appreciated!

This is a fairly easy way to connect a speed/cadence sensor, it’s pretty much the same process for a chest hrm, hopefully it should help, I did have some issues connecting mine but I think that was more my ancient PC….. (edited)

can you use with MTB chunky tyres or is this gonna make a lot of noise?

    ta.
    sim11's avatar
This makes a ton of noise with those tyres, with narrow road bike slicks and rubber mats then it's pretty much OK.
