not bad

they arent very comfortable though to be honest, we decided not to get them

Hi and thank you for comments.
I would probably agree, that it will not be cushioned, but I have been looking at a couple of basic cushions or garden loungers we have and they would fit right on. The feedback on Amazon.com notes similar points but adds the functionality makes up for the need to perhaps add some cushions for comfort.
My 'better' half has her eyes on a few hundred pound garden chair and table set with thick cushions for lounging. This bench would be an all year round seat to grab a quiet moment or quick picnic with the children.

Thank you again and appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts

There are a few nice ones around. For my aging bones I think you have convinced me to get these too

thats 1 ugly bench

Even with my lovely cushion?

Thank you RudiBryson.

Who would have crap like this in their garden?

They are this price normally at Costco. They arent very wide, nor are they comfortable. If you want a bench pay more and buy the deeper, wider all wood bench Costco sell. If you want a table and bench seating buy the Lifetime picnic table combo which is £107 vat incl.

Thank you Barginhuntersupreme for your comments.

Do you have a link please for the combo?

I don't get the whole Costco thing. Their prices aren't cheap so what's the point of the "exclusive" member fee? The trolleys are too wide (trying to Americanise Brits), and they sell bizarre homeware like a "10 person rotating wicker barbecue chair?". As for their customer service well the "thrown up cafés" , actually a couple of garden parasols, crap pizza, and dodgy jacket potatoe says: we don't really give a s**t once you are past checkout we have your cash, oh and by the way even though your shopping was processed by two staff on the checkout, we are still going to check your receipt on exit because you may have stolen something !

Costco is not for everyone I would agree StvT

You have to know what you want and the price in general. I use phone apps to scan codes if there is something that catches my eye and I am unsure of price. But there are deals to be had if you want or are looking for something specific.

I hardly use the cafe, but the cakes and meat is my Achilles .... hungry now!

Security is tight, no strip search yet though oO

This bench, if you are looking for one, seems to be well priced and usable from reviews. Thank you for your views

Depends what you buy, milk, tea, rice, bog roll etc, are consistently cheaper. "Luxury goods" tend to be about par or more expensive in my experience. I like their range because they have american stuff that you cant really get anywhere else. I also like the large trolleys and the car park at ours is fantastic, I wish all car parks had those big parent bay style markings.

Thank you Musician for your comments.

I like the Turkey crowns at Christmas, or the corn dogs!

Agree about parking ours is the same and no bumping doors!

Just an FYI around their security who check receipts it also states instore that it is to help customers...which it did when I didn't notice that I had been incorrectly charged twice for an item. The employee informed me I had been overcharged and directed me to their help desk where I was issued a refund and apology. So don't assume they do that because they think you've stolen something. All cash and carries I go to do it, except Booker as they're short staffed enough as it is.

Ideal if your near your expiry date saves a relative having to buy one. And you could have something nice engraved on it instead of them putting In loving memory of a tight fisted grumpy old git!!!!

Crap pizza? It's a proper slice of NY style Pizza - I've never had better of this style of pizza in this country. I like it 'cos there is no argument when you take something back because you don't like something or it breaks 11 months down the line. No receipt, no box, no problem. I would say the stuff they sell tends to be decent quality - although their fruit is a gamble which I don't generally take anymore. If you have space for storing stuff then Costco is great - they have 6 x 2kg bags of ice for £2.15 at the mo.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It is good if you know what you want. probably like marmite! !

I like to go and browse! If pizza or chicken wrap ends up in my tum, then a big yum.

It may not always be cheaper than elsewhere, but the quality of food (and other goods) is excellent.

Spoken like a true bargain hunter! Thank you for your comments Stu.

Got a swing seat made by the same company, has been out for three winters now and still looks good, no rust and the simulated timber looks good still, will be buying these.

Thank you jdouk . They do seem to have good review for the products. Been looking for outdoor cushions to go with this and once all sorted will look FAB.
Thank you for your input

Apologies didn't mean to rain on your parade , the bench no doubt is a good deal. I've just had a couple of bad experiences in Costco it's not my thing but everyone is different. I respect the views of those who do like it. The world would be a pretty boring place if we all sang the same song right? Police on Segways would be pretty cool though :-)
