And it's generally the ones who don't post deals themselves who seem to be the biggest moaners on other people's deals. It's like they just sit on their arris expecting to be soon-fed deals courtesy of other people's hard work then have the temerity to moan about them. Lazy. Pathetic...

A lot of people (myself included) won't post deals because of the shabby attitude to us whenever the site design is "improved". Every generation of design has got successively worse.

Out of stock now

Sites like Thingiverse and MMF have tons of stuff to print (some good, some tat, some pointless, some impossible! )

That said I have got to a stage where I have printed off enough Pokemon for the kids etc, and now print much larger more elaborate models. For fun, and to just see if I can..

The stuff that fascinates me, are the 'print in one go' stuff, and when its done its fully movable, with joints and links, or gears all printed in place. I have also designed brackets for a garage door, and a speaker monitor mount, an Xbox under TV Kinect mount etc etc.

But my Fav is the door handle I printed for our freezer - £20 plus for a replacement - printed, it cost under a quid, and fitted perfectly, and with a lick of white gloss spray ... looks and functions exactly the same (personally I think it's stronger)

At the moment I am printing Tat .. Halloween stuff, using luminous filament. For Tat ... its actually quite good.

Worth a punt for £10.55 and quidco.

Received mine in 7 days, working ok so far so good.

Ive just experienced and remembered how difficult it is to get in touch with them. In July I messaged them via the order link to query where my order was but I got no reply. I have now gone to my order link and as it isn't a live active order there is no way to report an issue, no email address or contact details can be found on the site but there is a US telephone number. Researching on the internet you will find loads of complaints that you cant get in touch with them and they don't respond when you do. Be warned, the purchase may not be worth it if you have any issues.

Its a fantastic price if you compare it to other suppliers. However I bought one of these form LITB in June (was £14:18 at the time). It did take about a month to arrive which was a surprise to me as items I order from far east can be with me in 2-3 weeks. The item has stopped working in the last few days so now I am contacting LITB to see what they will do.

Couple of risks associated with unknown sources enabled and Chrome protection but you will find these on many Android devices, so not specific here.

DG Xender may or may not be a great risk, but easily uninstalled if concerned.

The Fraudulent message broadcasting vulnerability on the other hand soes look like a potentially dangerous feature.

Needs more investigation in order to fix without having to use a dedicated app and something that Doogee need to provide some feedback for in order to inspire confidence in the product.

Any retailer that sells in high volumes is going to have a proportion of 'bad' orders. There are people here who think that Ebuyer is Satan on Earth. I've ordered from Amazon before and the majority of the time, they've been fine but I ordered a printer from them once and they sent me a inkjet refill and claimed that was item in the listing (it wasn't). Tooks weeks of wrangling to sort out. Ordered a Christmas gift from them once and they didn't mention it was coming from Amazon Italy through a notorious courier company known for its bad/slow service. Never arrived in time for Christmas. Told them that if their product was not in the UK warehouse, they should say so in the listing but they're not interested in changing anything as making more money (and paying little to no UK corporation tax) by leveraging their European network is more important to them.

No idea what Gearbest were like the past but I've ordered things from them in the last couple of years and haven't had a problem. Delivery is slow, returns are going to be problematic, CS probably isn't great but you buy from them knowing that they're not going to be John Lewis. That's why the stuff is alot cheaper.

As for this particular thread/deal, its for Lightinthebox which is a truly awful retailer. Personally, I wouldn't touch them with a 100ft bargepole. It's also not the best product for the price, yet it's posted by the Editor of HUKD. I see that you edited your post but in response to your question about profit, I make nothing on the deals that I post, but you might want to the person who posted this particular deal if he makes any money on it (Hint: see the full website link that this deal uses....) This deal seems also to have magically gone 'hot' even when it makes no sense for it to get the heat that it does....

There are others who have the Onda(Onda is the manufacturer) Xiaoma 21 says it works fine.

The Xiaoma 21 & 31 both have 2 normal usb's as well as type C. The speakers cutting out when you plug some thing in to the type C port is exactly the same as when you plug in 3.5mm headphones, the speakers cut out, I believe there is tick box that just needs changing. You can use a type c headphone adapter for 99p.One advantage of the ezbook 3 pro is 6gb ram for a lower price than the others, although the others aren't that much more. I think one with 13" screen, 128gb SSD(prefer 256gb), ac wifi, type c and 6gb would be ideal, strangely it doesn't exist.

The review says the Xiaoma Onda 21 (is that the same at the Xiaoma 21?) has USB-C and the sound disappears when you plug anything in(!) That would be seriously annoying when you want to watch a video or listen to some music when charging. 4GB RAM is also a bit disappointing as well compared to the 6GB machines.

If one of these Chinese laptop manufacturers could sort out the quirks and create a fully working balanced laptop at around the £200 mark, they'd have a killer product on their hands!

I like Lapbook 12.3 but the short(er) battery life, locked down BIOS and slightly higher price puts me off from pulling the trigger.

The Jumper EZBook 3 Plus is probably the best one but at over £400, the price is just silly. Looks like Chuwi are going to be doing a similar 14" model as well: techtablets.com/201…rd/

Grrr!!! I want a cheapo thin/light Windows laptop to replace my Chromebook...

The Chuwi Lapbook 12.3 is probably the only other one I would consider buying. The others just seem to have odd quirks that stop them from being towards the top of the list. The Xiaoma for example has no 3.5mm jack, no USB-A ports and the sound doesn't work when you're charging it!

I got a £14.00 fee, ive left mine at royal mail. (no longer a bargain when i factor that in)

lightinabox customer service is hopeless, would never shop here again
Edited by: "essexgangsta" 10th Sep

£18 fee to pay, anyone receive this from royal mail?

I got this one last year from Amazon amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1

Unfortunately gone up to £50 now (was £39) but it works well and customer support from Rexing was OK too when I contacted them about an updated firmware.

Thanks mate

You could try using Google's camera translating app to read those instructions!

i have this phone for 3 months now, unlike 99% of all dual sim phones this one has a separate micro sd slot which means you can have 2 x sim cards plus micro sd card,5.7 large screen, plays all GTA games without any lag,can be rooted which enables you to move large apps to sd therefor you can install lots of games even though the phone only has 16gb of internal memory, loud speakers perform well specially when you increase the volume from the service menu, smart looking phone i have the gold one it looks much more expensive specially in it's quality black leather case (i will leave link below) , the only things i don't like about this phone are the average camera,it's on the heavy side & the lack of android updates the phone is still stuck on marshmallow android v 6.0 with no plans for android v 8.0 or even v 7.0 also quality is questionable specially for a chinese brand,i have no idea how long it will last. we also have Xiaomi redmi 4x & build quality is like iphone 6s

Easy to root & install custom ROM, I'm running Lineage 14.1 (Android 7.1) on mine without any issues. For the pricepoint you are looking at Doogee, Oukitel, etc, so you try them and take your pick. I can't comment on Oukitel but I've had a Doogee in the past and was disappointed with the build quality, this Leagoo appears to be far more robust. Time will tell but if I get a year out of it then I'll be happy.

Two Leagoo Sharks stopped taking charge, and two others (can't remember the model) stopped reading the SD card.

Give me an example of a single person in the UK that has their data compromised (phonewise) because of chinese software. This issue is hyped up and overblown. Thats the point I am making. Bit like the year 2000 computer glitch issue which cost us millions and all for nothing except the hype.

Leagoo doesn't appear on this list of known device manufacturers on this report page though.

That's good then people moan about customer service from Chinese company's but in my experience that are fine ( brought a dead on arrival mi band 1s for £6.99 with a few other things and they gave me £8 back no postage)
