Be warned that these are rarely the price stated as they will try to milk you at every opportunity. We got our son the Lambo experience for £19, then it was +£10 for a weekend (the times didnt fit in with school), +£25 for insurance (prepare for lots of pressure if you dont take it), and £49 for the video, photo and photo DVD with an impressive 3 photos on it!

Dont get me wrong, he loved it but it was a very expensive £19 for less than 10mins of driving

USE DISCOUNT CODE VBX2qi13tlf AT CHECKOUT TO GET AN EXTRA 25% OFF. Only valid till midnight tonight. Takes it down to £14.25.

Shame no locations near enough to me to take advantage of this!
Heat added though...

Probably most of the ones that want to drive this car are not old enough to drive

What locations have they got , could some one add it to the description please

I'm curious; insurance against what? Injuring yourself?

  • You will have the chance to purchase a collision damage waiver on the day for £25; this is not obligatory

Like @frakison said be pre paired to get your wallet out for sneaky extras.

In this case it states under fine print "You will have the chance to purchase a collision damage waiver on the day for £25; this is not obligatory"
This means if you take the damage waiver for £25 and do hit something, you should be covered by the waiver.
If you don't take it and hit something or damage the vehicle you may be liable for more costs.

Discount code already been used. Anyone got an unused one that they don't want?
PM only for obvious reasons!

All the comments above are correct, and, as far as I remember there is an excess on the insurance.
Be prepared to be waiting around for ages while you wait for the previous group to finish, then you have a briefing, then wait your turn.
on the junior track day the instructor does some of the controls.
On the plus side they usually do the fast cars for the adults, so, if you are taking your child, hang around near the callers and they will offer laps in the "big" cars for £10...when it gets quiet.

Thanks - now used.....

Ah ok so just a worthless insurance scam, which incidentally is void if you ignore the instructor.

In fact it reads more like you're paying to insure against the instructor making a mistake. (allowing an accident to occur!)

Yep a shame its over 10, understand why but my lad is 5, he has been interested in Disney Cars/McQueen since he was 2 years old but doubt he will be at 10.
It would be good if they did an experience for under 10s where the instructror drives a few fast laps instead with your child in the passenger seat (a child friendly safety seat of course!)

Gutted it's for aged 10 and up, my almost 7yr old would have loved this, gave it a heat still

As others have said, it's the damage waiver, which in my case was £5k. The "briefing session" on ours was just 30mins of pointless fluff to pad out the session (otherwise you'd be in and out in minutes!). When I drove a Ferarri at Silverstone, the time was used to teach you a bit about race craft, car positioning and the like. Not so for the other venue, they used this time to give you all sorts of scare stories, apparently "someone" fell into one of the Ferraris (as they are very low), stamped on the accelerator and blew the engine... REALLY? no rev limiter then? He also said that the curbs are high in places and will rip the fairing off... YOUR liability, another £2k unless of course you cough up the waiver.

I think that they rely on the fact that it's not a lot money, but it's a bit dirty tactic, it's a bit like the £9.50 Sun holidays that end up costing hundreds, "you want air sir? That's a £50 optional extra!!
