I do like Samurai games in general, but watching gameplay videos for this don't make me look forward to it. The combat looks basic, graphics just ok, and enemy attack patterns predictable. I'm also not sure about the concept of a Samurai having a gun... It kinda defeats the object of honour and all that.
It makes me wish that Sony would hurry up with the inevitable Ghost of Tsushima PC port.

It's a spin-off off of the Yakuza series, which is now called Like a Dragon, so that's why it looks a bit mad and includes a gun. They're not exactly going for historical accuracy. It's also a remake / remaster of a 2014 game, which is likely why it looks a bit more basic compared to something like Tsushima.

Played the combat demo last night and I am keen for it. Played and loved the first Judgement game, but bounced off the sequel as it elt too similar and I was playing it right after the first. Tried and failed to get in to Yakuza 0 a couple times. Hoping this one gets me invested, then I can hop in to the series proper, which I already own all 8 games for my Steamdeck

Im currently playing Judgment now and really enjoying it. i bought Yakuza 0 for RRP and absolutely loved it but struggled to get into Kiwami because i played it straight after 0 and got burnt out. I also got a bit bored of the turn based combat in Yakuza: Like a Dragon so im excited to see how this one turns out.
