Uncertainty about Huawei seems to be dissipating
Is this the dual sim model?
Good price. Voted Hot.

Not according to seller description
Thanks, ordered. Have some heat.
Ordered! Great deal, thanks!
Twilight also available..
Twilight is £20 more which is a shame, as it's the one I really wanted - but - I keep my phones in cases so it's really only a superficial want. Great post, thank you!

You're welcome guys, glad to (try to) help
I haven't had a good "scour" of ebay yet, but xsdirect is selling the "Genuine Official Huawei Mate 20 Pro Smart View Flip Cover Case Black 51992696" (some sellers seem to state "Genuine Huawei" rather cheekily, when they're not) case for £7.99 or Best Offer. Seem to get good Feedback too.

I like the flip cases that "wake" the screen when you open them, (think it's a magnet), my official ZTE case has this and it's really handy.
38067759-zEt5h.jpg38067759-aP9jp.jpgI'm really gonna miss my Axon 7, I've loved this phone, best I've ever had

PS: Screen protectors, not sure yet. Apparently glass protectors affect the acoustics of the "ultrasonic" fingerprint sensor on the display and you're better with the thinner plastic protectors (going by Huawei forum members' comments, anyway)

This twin pack says it's case friendly (so doesn't curve and has a gap around the edges), some generic listings of these say they are Fingerprint Scanner compatible as well (?).

Three pack from an Amazon seller for £1.29 (!) and on Prime but, one bad review (though I don't know if the negative review is because it doesn't cover the edges - if I'm using a case - that's what I want!).

I was interested for a while, and I'm on a ZTE Facebook Group, but the software needs a bit of ironing out. Hopefully ZTE can get their groove back.
Guys, weird question time (well, not that weird, but I don't know the answer as I've never bought one).

I can see a few listings for tempered glass lens protectors. Not that I'm aware of ever scratching the lens on any of my phones, but, if I was to buy one, which is the best option - the plastic film-type or tempered glass?

Not an expert but I would've thought a glass cover would cause distortions in certain lighting, maybe I'm wrong?

Example for £1.59here

Tempered for me, no distortion or sensitivity issues if it's a good one, maximum protection

I managed to find a Blue Huawei Smart View official case on Amazon Warehouse! Yay, so that will make up a little for not getting Twilight - not really a bargain as it was just under £8.

Ha yeah, hopefully it is - on specs Mate 20 Pro appears to obliterate the 9T but it is more expensive. Really its a decision on value for buck but at least I got time to test around.

Sure! 9T very good midranger indeed, will you feel a difference in performance? (maybe I wouldn't!)

Design-wise M20P is a beauty, hardware (even sound DAC) top notch. Mi 9T much-improved design btw!

Let us know how they fare against each other...
Does this come with official Huawei 2 years warranty?

Does this come with official Huawei 2 years warranty?

I think so, it's official UK model - on receipt, first thing to do is to register with Huawei for warranty purposes, even before opening box and breaking seal, if any, as IMEI/serial no. on outside of box
Dammit, didn't even need a new phone
Got this today, it is definitely not "like new". It has clearly been used before, with small scratches on the front, sides and back of the device. The charging cable and charger were slightly dirty and have clearly been used, and box is missing the sim ejection tool!

Not happy, going to contact the seller and find out what the hell. They are also selling the same phone in "refurbished" condition so maybe they sent me one of those by accident.

Good to know that we can't trust this seller's claims regarding the condition of their phones, thanks for sharing

Hope they put it right, let us know

'Refurbished' condition means 'made like new', which is obviously not possible unless they replace that screen

It's just sloppiness, a 'honest' grading mistake they'll claim

(Not 100% sure about the 'honest' bit)

Save those pictures, you will need them if you open case with eBay/PayPal for not getting item 'as described' (should seller be unreasonable)

Sorry about your experience, let's see how they respond

As far as I'm concerned, I'll never post again from this seller. I'm actually expiring deal, seller untrustworthy is reason if they ask me from HUKD

Thanks for posting, that's pretty worrying. Mine is arriving tomorrow so will update with my experience and pics.
To all users following this thread, this deal was expired because of sloppy performance by seller AND reported to HUKD authorities

Hope other buyers luckier than @3LeggedDog (likely)

Yeah but the one I ordered was the "new (other)" one as linked by this deal, however the same seller is also selling the same phone listed as "refurbished grade A" so who knows what their definition of the difference between the two is. There is only actually £10 difference in the pricing.

Grade A can't have marks on screen, some sellers allow slight ones in case (back or edges) but most insist on no marks even in case for grade A

Keep working ...

It doesn't look good. Seller mentions notorious practice of opening brand-new items for 'checking' contents.

That's simply not necessary on brand new items, manufacturer puts a seal AFTER it was checked, reseller doesn't need to do that again.

This is most likely a cover story for RETURNED items, sometimes not used in cooling-off period, sometimes used for a few days but otherwise LITTLE used, and definitely with no marks unless buyer has been reckless.

But marks normally develop over weeks/months of quite careless use, without case or screen protector; it seems your item was used for far longer than a cooling-off period. With marks on screen, or even back, doesn't qualify for grade A in most retailers.

To be honest, with a seller like this I wouldn't be happy with a replacement, I'd go straight for a refund, even if it involves opening a case with platform/payment provider.

Still waiting for mine to be dispatched, but a work colleague has received his and it has scratches on the back. It has clearly been used, so the description on Ebay is misleading.

Fingers crossed mine is OK.

He can easily get a refund providing the required pictures of back of phone to seller/eBay/PayPal/credit card issuer.

I'm also very disappointed with this seller, first used phone sold as not used could be a grading mistake, two out of this deal with marks on them looks more like dishonesty to me, to be frank, or a complete shambles of a business
I purchased yesterday, order not yet marked as dispatched.

Just sent the seller a message saying if the product isn't as described then don't bother sending it and refund me.
