I dont love her, hot deal for those that do though, voted hot at that price, dont know why the cold votes, good price for a "legal" download.

good price for a new album. Lets try and warm this up...

perhaps people are voting it down because amazons download service is messed up (I've actually registered here to warn you about it).

when you buy the album, the download doesn't start. so you hit the "click here to start manually" link after installing the downloader, and you're taken to an error message with no way to get the download back!

only AFTER digging around on the site for a while, under the small and tucked away "amazon mp3 customer support" link, do you see this:

"IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT MP3 DOWNLOADS

We are currently experiencing some technical difficulties with our MP3 download service. Our developers are working on a solution and the issue should be resolved shortly. If you have purchased an MP3 download that has failed, please check back here later. We will update this page once we have reached a solution and you can then contact us to reactivate your download. Thank you for your understanding and please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.

The Amazon MP3 store allows you to search our catalogue of millions of songs, browse by genre and price, view our top sellers and new releases, and explore song, album, and artist pages."

Pretty outrageous - they know there's a problem, but they continue to let you buy?? worse - the warning is HIDDEN AWAY and not frontpage!

Just fired them a rather annoyed email. Not too happy...

Count me out then. I get fed up with hearing songs on the radio and thinking that sounds quite good only to get the album to find the lyrics are explicit in places which means I can't play the music when my kids are around, which means it doesn't get played at all.

May be I am a Grumpy old man but I don't think it's necessary!

Too true, they even play the explicit songs on the tv (TMF etc...) but they mute the words out during the day.
Just put some headphones on:p

Change your taste in music to bands that only swear for impact rather than as a matter of course!

I do have to do that - which is a shame as there isn't really any need for swear words and restricts the artists music.

I've never had a problem and have downloaded tons of cheap £3 albums from them. If you have already downloaded the software yuo will get the error message when you try to downlaod it again, it isn't very clear, but once you have paid there is a page telling you to download the software which is highlighted and then a link that says something like 'click here if you have already downloaded the software' It is a really badly designed page, but does work perfectly

Awesome album, the swearing isnt too bad, personally i would be more worried about you playing songs that refrence drugs when the kids are about, as she does this quite a lot

Should buy it and listen to it when they are not around, as one of the songs main chorus is just "F you, F you, F you very , very much......" etc

Mike..

Thanks for your concern, regarding references to drugs. Drugs and drug use/abuse is taught at school so it isn't a huge issue, and they don't listen to the lyrics that closely (if you can even understand them) - but when they repeatedly hear the F word being used it can almost seem to them that it is an acceptable word to use in everyday language.

True I guess, if they can't find another word just throw in a f*(k here and there. As long as they don't mind censorship on radio/tv during the day and reducing their potential audience.

I'm currently listening to the album and i'm disappointed with the amount of swearing in it.

Why do artists feel the need toswear on a record? Are they that short of words from the English language that the only way to fill in the blanks is with an expletive?

It puts me right off listening to them.

IMO albums should now come with a certificate rating like films do. This will limit the artists audience and hopefully make them realise that their capture audience are 10-16 yr olds.

My little uns love The Fear but I certainly wouldn't let them listen to the album, so this is restricting their audience straight away.

As parents we should all unite and launch a campaign for swearing to be banned in songs.

Swearing doesnt bother me, mainly because I dont have kids to worry about it, however I feel it unneccesary for an artist to implement it for some sort of "cool" factor rather than a lyrical emphasis which a lot seem to do.

What you mean like how GTA's sales are limited? Although it is always straight to the top of the charts? Age certificates won't do a thing..

The thing about swearing is that so many teenage kids use swearwords as a matter of course nowadays. It's not pretty but it's true.. Singers like Lily Allen are reflecting the way their contemporaries talk rather than bowdlerising it for an older audience. In that recent album by Irish band The Script there's a line 'he keeps f**king with your head, trying to get you into bed, and in the morning you'll just hate yourself'. That's not swearing for effect, that's normal conversation for anyone aged 14-30 these days.

Interesting to note during that Jonathan Ross furore that everyone over 40 wanted him strung up and everyone under thirty wondered what all the fuss was about...

isn't that a picture of Amy Winehouse?

that picture is wrecked.
shi**y allen acts like a spoilt bratt

**** music

im surprised that the albums people buy dont have the RADIO EDIT and the EXPLICIT version.

most albums have both, so the guy who said he cant listen to music because of his kids around should look into obtaining the radio edit.

I used to hate Lily Allen, but in recent months i've been finding her incredibly attractive for some reason. Don't think she'll age well though... sorry Lily

It's not me, it's her. It's cheap for a reason. It's not worth £3.
Cold.

You would have to pay ME to listen to the garbage from this talentless, tuneless, vulgar little girl, who is only famous because she has a famous dad. :x

Quality Album!

nice price for new album mate.. hot

Shes so far up her own **** its crazy.

Good price  Good album too.

For those like me who prefer to have a hard copy, the cheapest I found it for so far is £6.99

Just bought a copy of this and it's a great album:thumbsup:

one of the f***ed-up females like amy wirdo-house, too much hype for her! don't worth even £3...

Why always UK celebs and role models are crack head and wirdo's??? honestly... always... I am ashamed to say them as role models as UK citizen... for our young generation...

Anyway as per barg... i'll vote hot

BTW: Just my op. I am not here to discuss or want any critic... if this offend anyone than please mods remove this.

Gutted! I bought this for about £7 on Amazon the other day! Doh! Should have waitied, well I suppose I can offset the cost against the Jem album I got on Amazon for £1.47. I must just say, there are still some problems with the Amazon downloads as when I downloaded this album, it refused to download the first song so I rather annoyingly had to go back in and sort this out.

Good deal though

I'm pretty sure your kids and everyone elses learn enough swear words at school on a daily basis.

I'm not aware of any lives being destroyed over the use of swear words either. I find it all a bit funny people worrying so much about a swear word, it is just that, a word.
Children aren't stupid they will pick up swear words whether it is in the music or not, the more sensible ones will just refrain from using them in front of the parents.

(I'm not saying kids should go around swearing just that you can be aware of them without using them)

Anyway, this is a pretty good album and with the obvious exception most of the tracks don't have much in the way of swearing (Fear has a couple of F's in it) Bargain at £3 and Amazon MP3 is a superb service provided it is working. When it is not, as one of the posts suggests, it is a bit more worrying as unlike other services you get once chance to download the file.

:? Why so much abuse for Lily? She behaves like most people her age and never claims to be an almighty celeb.
She didn't just jump into the music career riding the success of her father. Her music was already very popular on Myspace before she went mainstream.

Seems to be the in thing to jump on a hate bandwagon.

Hello,

Thank for your op. as I mentioned thats just my views... and if you see she is no diff. than others like Kate moss and Amy Wirdo, crack / drunk / nudity / slap's papaz. / always smoking... is that we called our young generation role models?

Please it's just my op.

Totally superb album well worth this!

Its labelled as explicit, its bad enough songs are censored on television... to be honest who cares? Artists can swear all they want, its censored out on tv and radio. Everything is fine, imho things should be censored *less*
