I think there could be a clue in one of the Track Titles in the the OP?

Lily Allen... be great if she could actually 'SING' as opposed to 'TALK' through a track. The lyrics are interesting but the girl CANNOT 'sing'. She may be a talented song 'writer', but a singer she ain't!

Once again you've done it again andywedge, a great deal, I have been after this album for a while definately buying it at this price.

Don't know why it's not hotter than this.

Heat and Rep added.

That will be people voting it cold because they don't like Lily Allen. Which is a shame for those who might want to purchase this, as the next cheapest is £8.95.

How does voting cold stop anyone purchasing this? If someone WANTS to purchase something they are free to do so. Whether it is HOT or COLD on here has no bearing on that.

What was that Mr Wedge? Did I miss something?

Yeah, about 70% of users only view the hotpages.

Also, cold votes put people off, as they think it must be cheaper elsewhere

I don't doubt what you have written. What I wrote however was:

The main point being, 'if someone WANTS to purchase something.' If I 'WANT' to purchase something, just like everyone else, I wouldn't give two hoots about what other people think, because its what 'I WANT' not what they want. So my point still stands, the voting system on here has no effect WHAT SO EVER, on whether someone will buy something if they WANT it. The voting system may effect 'WHERE' someone buys a product but if they WANT to buy then the system will have no effect on whether they do or not.

Anyway, as I have already said, it's irrelevant what we think. :-D

Because most people only view the Hot pages. If something doesn't make that Hot pages then how will they ever know that the deal/bargain exists; therefore how will they know that they can purchase this CD for almost half the price that it is elsewhere? Of course they can use the HUKD search function if they are looking for this CD in particular; but that is seldom used as a way to "spot" a bargain. Especially for CD's, when you can use "findcd", if you are looking for a specific CD, but if you use "findcd" to look for this you will find that it is almost twice this price. If I wanted to buy this CD I would prefer to pay this price; but no, it doesn't stop anyone buying it from elsewhere at a more expensive price. But how many folk think to check BangCD? Most usually only bother with Play/HMV/Amazon as they are the "big three"

Pfft. The same could be said of Bob Dylan (not that I'm comparing the two). Off you go and listen to Alexandra Burke then if you only value vocal gymnastics.

I agree about the cold voters-its really disheartening-you find a deal which isn't for everyone, but might be great for some-and people vote cold and leave no reason for doing so.

I try to look at the 'all' page-but often don't have time to read everything and glance at the 'hot' page-so miss out on lots of deals i am sure.

Just because a deal doesn't benefit you-doesn't mean that it is a bad deal. I know loads has bee posted about 'cold voters'-but it really would help if you said why you were voting a deal cold.

Like 'The Fear' even with the swear words.

Ref the cold vote debate, I never really understand why posters care so much. I've probably posted maybe 10 deals in the past but only three managed to become hot deals and I have never taken it personally if people cold vote as that's their perogative. It didn't make a jot of difference to me anyway as I was only really trying to contribute to the website to give something back for the times it has helped me find a deal. Personally, I rarely just view the hot deals. I did to start with but found that I kept missing some deals that I would have been interested in even though they were of limited interest to the masses. I now either use a custom view that shows everything except expired deals or manually select the topics that interest me.

For anyone just interested in getting their deals onto the hot deal listing, just post the lowest current price for a half-decent console game and hey presto ! One guaranteed hot deal.

thanks op heat added
