Try doing it without dying.
I keep seeing Steam deals and thinking, "Ooh that looks good," only to realise I've already purchased the same game in a previous deal, just never played it.

But that's annoying

Half the fun of the game is dying.
Compared to Spelunky this game is a cakewalk, i think i died like twice playing this but maybe i have a sixth sense...could tell when a trap was coming. (No tranny jokes..(_;))

Exactly, which is why trying not to die once through the whole game is no fun, plus you have to start again from the beginning.

If you like going for achievements then you have to do it in something like 3 lifes. Challenging...
really cool game
ordered and GTA package! :-)
Limbo sucks. So many better Indie games out there.

Just as well I've already played the game and haven't taken your opinion over all the good things people say of it (refering to your first sentence - there are many better indy games out there, but that certainly doesn't make the game suck).

Now, the first half of the game is much better than the second half, I'll give you that.
Beautiful art style, but the game is overrated.
I played on XBLA for full retail and i'd say fully worth it. Ok its a little short but its very challenging and pretty fun. For £1.74 you cant complain. Heat from me.
Brilliant and beautiful little game this, bought it in a previous sale not really knowing what to expect, just on a few recommendations from friends. Very glad I did
Not sure whether to buy or not, I feel well, in..............................

Crackin' game for a bargain price, heat added
we we we soo excited.
****! Wish it wad this price on the psn store. Been wanting it for ages but not paying a tenner for it.
I'm not normally a fan of platformers but this was a real good 'un. Stylish and really well executed.

Beautifully succinct. It's a great set piece but that's all it is so this a good price to decide. I did complete it in one life and I think that and the prep I did for that made me realise that it's just a few alright puzzles dressed up in a nicely spooky outfit. Not bad, not briliant, worth experiencing. Anyone that does the one life thing (let alone the 5 allowed) is a **** - yes, that's me.

I would agree, it is the art style that makes the game compelling to play, but it hardly adds anything new to 2D platforming with simplistic puzzle elements involving trial and error.

Achievements don't really achieve anything despite the name. Sure they can be fun sometimes when they're amusing but getting them all and being a "completionist" seems like a waste of time. Am I missing something?
No. Achievements are the worst things to happen in gaming as they create false reason to play the game. Miyamoto is really against them but sadly the WiiU has them as an option. Google "Skinner box" if you want to know why people like them. They're basically monkeys pressing buttons for rewards. All that "Adding replay value" crap would be done intrinsically by a good game.
first time i've played this game and I've realised that I am retarded. I think I need to get back into the groove and play more puzzle games as I've died so many times as it isn't always obvious what to do. Too bad that the game isn't native 1080p as it looks like **** but I'm suprised I quite enjoy this, too bad there aren't any acheivements. For the steam sale price it is very reasonable.

Are there any other games similar to limbo?
amazing
It's fun a return to the "old school" of gaming. Ok so it's not as technically brilliant as the next in the series of cloned "Battlefield Call of Honour" type games but it does make a pleasant change.

Well worth the £1.74
Hot +1
