they've got colouring that uses crushed beetles. Close enough!

Red is my new favourite

What's special about them? A lack of red ones and the packaging?

Love M&Ms and going tomorrow, so will get some

This price in CoOp too - heated

Same in Morrisons, the blue ones stain your mouth really bad, they're great!

Same in ASDA as well, good deal though so hot

not suitable for vegetarians even without the red ones, something to do how the chocolate is made in m&ms

not sure if same weight, but this same limited edition is on 24 pack box for £8.38@ Costco

These are GREAT!! In the special edition Brazil 2014 packs the green and yellow ones are flavoured with social injustice to give us all "Samba Fever"!

I thought carmine was changed about a year ago to be made chemically now instead of beetles, I assumed that was why cheap jelly stopped getting sold since its colouring came from it.

Banned

I made my own by just eating the green and yellow ones and throwing the others away.

The last time I contacted Mars, they said they could quite easily change the ingredients for a veggie friendly diet. But seems like nobody can be bothered, think of the market out there. Anywho, forget M&M's, the alternative tasted even better and is available from Lidl, called Mister Choc Big Hit Cho peanuts and costs 99p for a 250g. In yer face Mars!

Ltd Edition - buy now and in a couple of years they'll be going for £1000s on eBay!

£1.75 at Northumberland Park.

The multi-coloured 165g packs have been £1 for weeks.

Picked up some earlier on for £1. Hot!

I 2nd that Familyguy, Lidl ones are yum and more for your money!

Update Lidl are doing the xxl bag (300g) bag for 99p for a limited time. located in the food offers aisle

No orange ones! That's like a special edition quality street that has no purple ones.. Why would you?!

These are not suitable for vegetarians, see following emails from Mars:

Dear XXXX,

Thanks for getting in touch about our M&M's.

None of our M&M's range are suitable for a vegetarian diet, this includes the Brazil Limited Edition M&M's.

We have now made as many of our products as we can suitable for vegetarians. Unfortunately this has not yet been possible with our M&M's without jepordising the taste or price.

We continually carry out research into the needs and requirements of our consumers and we record all the comments received on our products.

Once again, thanks for contacting us and don't hesitate to get in touch about anything to do with our products and brands.

Kind regards,

XXXXXXXXX

and

Dear XXXX,

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that our Limited Edition M&M’s are vegetarian since the manufacturing line they are produced on makes other items that are not vegetarian.

Kind Regards,

XXXX
Mars Consumer Care

The Lidl ones were also not suitable for vegetarians - I contacted them and they called me to say they are NOT suitable.

Are we really going "nuts" about these? Nice but would prefer the choccy ones

I'd give my right arm for a bag of limited edition World Cup M&M's

It's also to do with whey powder variation, I've asked at M&M world and no colours are halal.
