Intrigued! What does it taste like? I'm thinking maybe a cloudy lemonade?

Spirits are typically 38%-40% costing at least twice this per volume, even on special.

Bought 2 bottles of this stuff ar Rome airport cos the bottles were pretty. Not sure I like it!

Chilled and you'll be thrilled, the eye ties get mebee 80% alco vol that way - hic. Chilled and hEATed!

I'm thinking that even if it's not that great to drink you could probably perk up a few deserts with this or maybe just stick some on ice cream.

it tastes really nice when you r sat near the sea on the Amalfi Coast , maybe in Positano , trust me !!

I loved this. Hope my local has it in stock. Try it on vanilla ice cream. There is also a really nice cream version that works even better. Xmas desert sorted.

My mate buys this for cooking with, she said it makes fab cakes

I looked for this a few weeks back and no sign, I will look tomorrow now thank you

I was thinking of a boozy citrus trifle if I can get some.

Great price, and going by what others have said I'm going to try it. I googled for other ideas to use it and found this website, some yummy looking recipes. Limoncello freeze looks an easy one as it has few other ingredients, similar to eton mess and cost effective to try.

Is there any evidence whatever that this deal actually exists?

No sign of it on the Lidl website, and the only result in Google is this thread!

I bought this on Friday , my camera has broken so I can't post a pic of the reciept

I made this as gifts this year & it cost me a lot more than this to make!

Keep it in the freezer & pour over ice cream....

Just remember these products are limited and regional so for example if it's on sale in London, chances are it's not on sale in Manchester

Good deal if you can get it, none in burton or derby stores yesterday.

Omg, I wished I hadn't clicked on your link.....lemon tiramisu, chocolate limoncello cake nom nom. Didn't like the sound of the pasta one though :-| lol

Emro23 I know but it must be something naughty as I can't see the recipe = "Sorry, we've blocked this link because it may lead to spam, nudity or other inappropriate stuff. Learn more."

Trying hard not to look at the cakey things.

Limoncillo Mint Spritzer
Ingredients:
1 cup ice (crushed, preferrably)
1 oz Limoncello
2 oz White Wine (preferrably Sauvignon Blanc, or another light, dry, citrus-flavored wine)
1 1/2 oz Soda Water
2-3 Mint Leaves (torn in half)

For a nice topping on top of cup cakes. A little bit of mint on the top would make them snobby.

Glaze
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 1/2 to 2 Tbs Limoncello or Lemon Juice (adjust as necessary)
1 tsp lemon zest

lovely, thanks op

There's a simple reason for all this - it's not available thoughout most of the UK. It's a summer drink, essentially, and Lidl pretty much sold out then. The price was reduced a while back to get rid of any remaining stocks, and the odd bottle must have remained.

Think needles, haystacks and Tesco offers - you won't be far wrong. (_;)
