New from the Linda McCartney's range and only 98p for two, steal in my eyes! Just had some they taste very nice and are a big portion size. Vegetarian and vegan friendly.

99% Real meat in these.

Just a word of warning about pretty much entire Linda McCartney range:

For something targeted at health-conscious vegetarians those things things are worse than double portion of chinese takeaway.

True, these and the Motzarella burgers have ridiculous macros. The sausages and 'meatballs' are the only thing I can think of that are decent in that respect.

Those figures don't look right.

Pretty sure that energy figure is the kj not the kcal amount...hope so anyway, I'd be really annoyed struggling to maintain the same wait eating around 2000 calories a day if the recommended daily amount is actually 8495...

Calories are fine, 407 from the Waitrose site. You've quoted the other energy figure. Recommended to get 2,500 a day if you're a man.
Not all fat is the same, and not all saturates either. Looks like palm oil and rapeseed oil is the main source. The oil in takeaway will be far worse, and probably have trans-fats.
The salt is a touch high, but nothing to be too concerned about unless you're consuming non-trivial amounts elsewhere. You need a few grammes a day anyway.
Sugar is fine too, there's none added, just the naturally occuring sugars in the other ingredients, which will be far better than the pure glucose added to most meals.

Not to mention, also getting 16.8g of protein and 8.7g of fibre..

It's not about the calories (which looks like should be in kJ indeed) but 50% of your daily recommended fat in a tiny something with veggies inside? Wow.

If it's palm oil you should steer clear anyway. It's hard to do cos it's in so many things but worth doing for the sake of the many animals that are being wiped out to supply the demand for palm oil, not least of all those beautiful tigers.

Shame cos these actually taste nice for a vegetarian alternative.

I've not tried these ones, by the other LMc Plaits are delicious.

RIP Linda.

24% of the UK recommendations (95g). Not sure what those RIs refer to. And it seems to count fat and saturated fat separately, when the saturated is part of the "fat" part. Where did you get this image? It's extremely misleading..

She died years ago, but they found some of her old, forgotten recipes in a drawer and are now remastering and releasing them

Defo a decent size-roughly some size a two standard saugage rolls side by side.

Nice taste. A little pasty consistency within the saugage but nothing so bad as to out you off it.

Recommended.
