these taste amazing smoothered in beef gravy

Not a sausage, a sausage has meat inside it.
Idiots.

Flame on.

the best veggy sausages in my opinion are tesco's own lincolnshire ones..

im not veggie but i love these

Heat.

Have not eaten these for years but last time I tried them they were shockingly bad. A funny texture sort of slimy and greasy. Loads of better alternatives for unmeat suasages. Strange really as most of the Linda McCartney things are fairly good.

haven't tried these as yet, but the linda mccartney italian style/mozzarella sausages i had were brill! i remember seeing a deal on here where they were £1 for a packet of 6 at tesco, but haven't seen hide nor hair of them since....

Love these...they taste great. Hot

I Like these more than Meat Sausages. And Do Taste Amazing Smothered in Bisto. This price is good, but always £1 in Farmfoods.

Vegetarian food makes you f@rt like a rhinoceros.

Good for the price. These make good sausage rolls with a pack of puff pastry!

I'm not sure someone who doesn't get subtle humour should be dishing out advice on anything.

Otherwise you end up looking..... silly!!!!

The ones in Farmfoods here only have 5 sausages, not 6? I made the same mistake in Iceland, thinking they were good value for a quid. Tesco usually have them reduced to £1 for 6 for a few months a year (on and off). They are not particularly to my taste, but they're nice used in other dishes.

Every time i have bought them from Farmfoods they have been a pack of 6 , same as the Tesco boxes.

I much prefer these to eating **** eyeballs gristle etc in meat sausages.

Showing as £1.89 for me with veggies sausage rolls at £1.00.

I couldn’t agree more. I tried them many years ago and was amazed how bad they were. I gave them another go in the last 12 months and they are still just as bad. They are so bad it’s enough to make a vegetarian turn to eating meat sausages! I wouldn’t take these if they were free.

yep...or you could just buy their sausage rolls for a quid...

Their pretty damn good compared to back in the day, but at least theirs a huge range of veggie food compared to when i turned in 1990, and only had 1 choice of burger.

i watched the 'Earthlings' documentary last night.. i LOVE meat but not as much as i love animals so i'm pretty much going veggie very soon! meat=torture torture torture! No dignity or respect for these animals what so ever.. Damn this industrialised machine of inexplicable torturous death.. and damn me for doing nothing about it! we should be ashamed of ourselves... oh and there is clearly no God.. or IF there IS.. then where was he/she while all this is going on? Evil ****!

If vegetarians don't like eating meat or harming animals, then why do they want products that LOOK LIKE meat??

Also, just because you personally decide not to eat meat, it wont stop the killing.

Think its time to make me a real Burger

That's a rather ignorant view point. Less animals are killed because of the numbers of vegetarians in the world. There's a list somewhere that gives the average numbers of animals you save (or perhaps that were never bred to be killed) by being vegetarian, although I lost track of that a long time ago. Also if people do not like harming animals, how does eating something that looks like meat go back on that in any way? It wouldn't bother me if my veggie food looked like meat or not, as long as it wasn't meat. Although sometimes it's nice to have something that looks like what other people are having, but isn't made of animal. Not all vegetarians eat mock-meat/fake-meat either.

Good to know simes, I always have come across the 5 packs. Maybe that's been changed now I don't tend to buy them though except to put in curry (weird I know, but honestly it tastes good in saag). I much prefer the Redwood range of fake meats. And you are right on your 2nd point - ANYTHING is better than eating the crap they put into supermarket meat products in this country!

The shapes used for burgers and sausages were chosen because they make sense so it’s natural that vegetarian versions use the same shapes. What do you expect then purple pyramid shapes for vegetarian food?

Logic fail.

I have bought these sausages from Iceland, for the past 2 years for £1.
Yummy in a sandwich...Tesco usually charge £1.69. Rip off!!

Agree with Iceland comments - 5 for a a £1. Were 6 sausages for a £1 in Tesco yesterday (usually £1.89)
