These are my three favourite veggie options out there, apart from Quorn Chicken Nuggets that is.
So love the fact that they're all on offer at the mo.

Regularly see the Sausages at this price, but it's good to see the Quorn Roast reduced too as I'm a big fan of it. It makes a very tasty alternative at Xmas or a Sunday for veggies (not vegan though). Put away those nut roasts, please!

The Quorn Roast is good sliced up on sandwiches. Works out a lot cheaper than the Quorn packet meat! Nice 1.

Just came here to see the stupid anti veggie food comments and there …Just came here to see the stupid anti veggie food comments and there aren't any!

Haha.

I'll start but flip it.

Veggie of 8 years (ish) + I don't think that everyone should stop eating meat. Just reduce their intake + demystify the notion that a plate without meat isn't a meal.
Maybe use meat as a treat once/twice a week. It'll naturally change our relationship with the meat and animal it came from.
Honour it, really enjoy every bite and not waste it.
Or go out hunting and get it yourself once in a while, there's an argument for that too.

But are they as satisfying as Mr Oliver's?

Good point. Yeah, I'm a big fan of it. It gets too dry if you over cook, but lovely when done right

Christ @marty-401 I've just eaten

I never want to see that gif again!
Lovely
Those roasts are GREAT, nice and filling and lovely with roast carrots, parsnips, potatoes and some broccoli and with homemade red wine gravy on top 😃

Totally agree. My wife and I went veggie for October to see if we could manage and break away from that same notion.

October came and went, we've still not bothered going back. I think if we ever do, it'll be exactly like you say where it's an occasional "treat" rather than an everyday thing.

Yeah, and there should be no shame in having that meal when you do. There's too much shaming going around in the vegan/veggie camps which i dont agree with.

I find the opposite with the sausages, Quorn sausages don't come close imo. But each to their own!

Which recipe are you using for the gravy, if you don’t mind me asking. A good homemade gravy eludes me...I made one last week which bore an uncanny resemblance to my vegetable soup.

I'll have to get it from my partner and let you know, she makes the best gravy I've ever tasted

Likewise for me, much prefer the LM sausages. Apart from the rosemary ones, i find them to be a bit too herby hancock.

Whoo! Praise indeed. Brilliant. Thanks very much
The moz burgers are really good. I'm a big meat eater but happily swap meat out for this if my mrs makes one
Wife cooked these tonight for me and the kids without telling us, I thought they were over cooked sausages int the mushy sense, but when she said they were veggie I was honestly surprised. The texture and taste is excellent.

Give these a go, given them to a few people who thought they were actually meat! 38951631-gpfhX.jpg
Will be stocking up. Not vegetarian but prefer veggie burgers & veggie sausages, never touch the meat alternatives.
we love these, cheers OP!

Yeah, surprisingly good aren't they? Especially on a bbq. Must be one of the best veggie burgers out there for a bbq, although I've never tried the suggestion @thomasleep suggests

I filled up the freezer with them at 63p a pack in my local tesco, and I can honestly say I will pay the £2.50 going rate when they run out!
The burgers are pretty good - not keen on the sausages. The new Tesco Cumberland ones are better. And for clarity, I'm not veggie - just trying to eat less meat.

But Home Bargains do have both for a quid a pop as their standard price.

Nice, never heard/tried them. Will give them a go. Cheers!
I like Linda M sosij better than propper sosij!

I think the newer own-brand ones from Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose are much better than either (though are £2 a pack usually). The Richmond vegan sausages are pretty great too

I find them excellent, though only buy them when they're on offer. £2.50 is a bit much for 2 burgers (though I did pay £5 for the Beyond Meat ones)

What did you think of the Beyond Meat ones? Are they available over here yet?
