Thanks very much. I haven't bought it yet. What's your thoughts on it?

I have this and it's great as a room divider too. The soft sides help if baby falls against it.

Thanks, that's what I much prefer to the metal one as I don't need to worry about my daughter hurting herself if she falls onto it.

hi khio77
We use it as a hexagonal playpen and bought it because I wanted something softer than the regular all wooden or all metal jobbies that have a&e written all over them for my 10 month old. We've got no complaints with it. The padded hexagonal mat that you get with it is really soft too. Would definitely recommend as also looks less cage like!
Hope it works for you too. :-)

Thanks very much my only slight concern is the size of it as I don't have a lot of floor space but like the idea of the wall divider as I have an arch in between my living room and dining room.

if you don't need to use the hexagonal mat you could make it into a rectangle shape and then it's about the size of a cot. You could just put down some playmats or a folded duvet inside it if you needed more padding on the floor. We've done that a couple of times when we need more space and it works well. Haven't tried this as a room divider but remember from looking at reviews when I bought it that it seemed to work very well as one. Best thing about this style of playpen is it's flexibility. :-)

Thank you so much for all your advice. Much appreciated. What a great idea. Will try that if struggle for space when it arrives cheers

Lindam playpens are brilliant. I strongly recommend!! I have mine as a hexagon.... my little boy actually likes being in there with all his little toys.

Good price and use as room divider but not as a 'dog cage or a babysitter'

Interesting.... Baby UFC.

I have been looking for playpen for a while now as my little boy crawls all over the place and goes to sockets cables and other things which worry me I am not sure if I should get this one or the one with all bars can anyone please tell me which one would be better

This one is quite versatile as you can change the shape from hex to rectangle to suit and you can also use it as a barrier, to block off access to a fireplace or similar.

I'd guess this one is lighter than an all-metal playpen, which could be handy if you're home alone and need to move it.

This is brilliant. Kept my little chunk safe whilst I did bits round the house. Would HIGHLY recommend above other styles. I paid nearly £80 so a definate bargain at this price.

thanks orderd heat added!

Hot, good deal, also suitable for keeping alien babies from climbing walls.

Thanks for highlighting this deal, something else to buy for our recent new arrival! Have personally bought from Banmbino Direct though as it's the same price with free delivery and through quidco gives 2% cashback.

heat added by the way!

Good value, though it's also available at the same price with a 9 month money back guarantee: bambinodirect.co.uk/Lin…AbQ

I think your babies would very much struggle to hurt themselves falling against a metal play pen. It's ok for babies to hurt themselves a little, that's how they learn about risk and gain confidence in their abilities.

If they haven't learnt about risk and about how to fall how will it be for them once they start toddling?

We went for a metal one as it means we can also use it as a guard around a stove and outside around the barbecue. He certainly hasn't hurt himself on it - falling over on a hard floor or against a hard wall would be much more painful!

Thx very much OB1. I know I'm being paranoid and yes we have wooden floors but I see this as one less thing for her to potentially hurt herself on when starting to crawl and toddle and seems to be more flexible in how it can be used than a metal one

I don't get these playpens...

Why would you want to leave them in it, instead of actually interacting with your child??

I am a diabetic and need to check my blood and inject insulin several times a day and thus need somewhere safe to place my child while I do this. She has outgrown her bouncy chair and is starting to crawl. I always interact with my child but this gives me a little peace of mind if I need to take my eyes off her for a few mins.
