Quite a few decent prices on offer - all with Argos guarantees. Some Apple, some Sony but alas no Onkyo to compare with. One day Sony will buy Onkyo (or vice versa, depending on who you speak to on here) and my name will be worth millions...

Some highlights:

Apple Watch S3 38mm £203.99
ebay.co.uk/itm…735

Samsung tab s2 £149.99
ebay.co.uk/itm…760

Apple TV 32gb 4k £121.99
ebay.co.uk/itm…061

Apple Airpods £99.99
ebay.co.uk/itm…737

Sony MHC-V11 High Power Home Audio System with Bluetooth and NFC £99.99
ebay.co.uk/itm…084

Sony CMTS20B DAB Radio £44.99
ebay.co.uk/itm…581

Two out of the three refurbished items I've had recently from Argos have been unusable and unchecked.
One Laptop was 8 months old, the wrong colour and fitted with a (IMHO) battery that proved to have been faulty, maybe unsafe from new according to Win10 cmd report.
From my own experience's, I don't believe they are in anyway "professionally refurbished, A-Grade, Argos Manager Special's.
Just faulty returned item's, repackaged and sent back out. Maybe I'm wrong and got unlucky.

Never mind, managed to get it to work on the desktop, logged in, went to account settings in top left, then left hand side went to addresses then went to registered address and put in an address in the USA (kept delivery address my correct UK address) then went to checkout and purchased with USA 15% off code.

Thanks for the heads up

Spent the weekend fruitlessly wrestling with a refurbished Nokia 7 Plus from Argos on Ebay. Total unchecked brick. Seems Nokias are prone to start up faults. They did refund quickly though.

Bought earpods with lighing cable earler from argos instore.
Really dont like the looks of them airpods seen a few people with them look really weird + scared of losing them

Argos refurbs are rubbish. I returned two phones to them before
I'm always very weary of Argos 'Refurbished' as I have had a couple of items that had faults that even the simplest of checks would have shown it to be unsuitable for sale. Parts missing, damaged, and the best one was a tablet with a duff screen that as soon as you turned it on had a big blue blotch over 30% of the screen.

Henceforth I would not go anywhere near their 'refurbished' items.

I personally believe Argos ebay are trying to give the impression that all these refurbished item's are near new, ie A-Grade, Argos Manager Special's, unused customer returns, damaged box, checked out before dispatch etc.
Maybe some are like new, but my experience of a near on year old laptop with a shot battery, case scratches and dirty, worn rubber base feet isn't my idea of A-Grade.
Another laptop I returned last year had a faulty keyboard with many keys not functioning.
Any electronics fitted with a unchangeable lithium battery that's been hammered by use and recharging may be coming to the end of it's life within a years warranty.

That's a good thing. You really don't want to look like you're wearing a set of electric toothbrush heads anyway.
Argos refurbs are terrible. Bought an Xbox one X and it was a fail HDD on arrival. Only reason I didn't buy the airpods.
Most items in STORE have been opened or even possibly used, I've always checked the seals 9/10 have been resealed. Ebay stuffs must be like car boot sale spec
I have received like new 3/5 times.
It's completely luck.
I've found Argos Grade A refurbs to be great.
Got an S8 for £340 and it is immaculate, also the battery had only been charged a few times so knew it wasn't going to be knackered. The box was a bit scruffy and it didn't come with a fast charger but not really bothered, as like most people I have a house full of chargers.
On a positive note, their ebay returns is ok, taken about a week to get a full refund each time.
I've had a near new tablet that I was happy with.
It's the LUCK element that shouldn't be present, that get's to me.
I didn't get a refund for my time spent awaiting delivery, repackaging and taking a trip to the post office for the returns.
I didn't even get anything for carrying out their quality control for them. My returns may just end up being repackaged and advertised as A Grade on their ebay site again for the next "LUCKY" customer.
Thanks for the comments saved me even bothering to visit. Clearly Argos are a con when it comes to refurbs!

Argos Refurbs - AVOID in my opinion.

I've seen "refurb" fridges with food still in them, and TVs that clearly don't work properly.

I think their idea of a refurb is to make sure it "appears" ok, and rebox it.
I’ve always assumed the Argos eBay operation was to deal with the volume of opened returns from the core Argos business
Wanted to get the airpods but OOS so will wait for the Apple event hopefully a price drop if not will just use the student discount to buy from o2
took a punt on the airpods, if they are no good il get a refund if they are decent then i will keep them.

Anyone know what the warranty is like from apple on these where purchased through a third party? I know you should technically only get the remainder of the warranty as they are "refurbished" but likely never registered or used, for hygiene reasons above, i would hope lol so how do apple verify the remaining warranty or would a receipt from the ebay purchase suffice
Argos use a 3rd party company to deal with returns who are supposed to 'refurbish' them before they go back out. In reality it's probably just a warehouse where returned items are simply stockpiled then packaged and sent off when a person buys them from the ebay site. They should come with a print out stating "this product has been checked and refurbished...blah...blah", which sounds laughable reading some of the posts here.
Don't forget some people order Argos goods simply to switch out parts. They already have the same item say a laptop but the battery has stopped charging, so they order the same laptop from argos then switch parts and return the new item as faulty.
The good thing is the returns contact numbers are actually Argos and not the 3rd party company.
I can never get the 'Argos Refurbished' site to load on ebay: just this one seller. Yes I have blockers but they do not affect the rest of ebay.

Anyone else?
FYI I had to send back a refurbished iPhone because they had switched the touch id button so iOS disabled it. Not fully convinced with argos refurbished but would say that the returns process was very easy.
Refurb AirPods? Ewwww gross....

Refurb AirPods? Ewwww gross....

well you would assume due to hygiene reasons that they havent been in someones ear holes. Argos wont take back items like headphones if they have been used so should be okay. but will be interesting to see what arrives.
Had very mixed results with Argos refurb stuff. Quite a bit of it was faulty when they sent it out, and when you return it, they then block you from buying anything on Argos eBay. Was always clean though, new earbuds etc
I am working on the assumption that airpods would be properly refurbished.. Not just some guy with a ear bud wiping off the wax
All three electronics I bought from Argos eBay Refurbished appeared to be brand new. As the alternate perspective.
Lol they are selling the medion X6603 AT £100 MORE than other sites and it's refurbished?!? Lots of over priced stuff on there considering it's used.
