Key Features

  • Gigabit performance

The unmanaged switch offers Gigabit speeds to minimise transfer times and greatly enhance the ability to stream high-bandwidth files to connected devices without interference.

  • Plug-and-play convenience

The Linksys unmanaged switch offers a quick and easy solution to extend your office network with plug & play installation.

  • Quality of Service (QoS) traffic prioritisation

QoS traffic prioritisation provides the ability to give precedence to particular devices or activities to ensure mission critical data throughput is maintained regardless of network congestion. Auto-sensing ports automatically optimise speed for each connected device.

  • Power where you need it

PoE support lets you deploy network systems such as wireless access, IP telephony, or video surveillance solutions more quickly and at a lower cost, without having to install separate power supplies for individual devices.

Features & details

  • IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, 802.3x, 802.3ab, 802.3az, 802.3af and 802.3at (PoE+)
  • 16-port switch with eight PoE+ ports (first 1–8 ports) and dedicated PoE power budget of 80 W, 32 Gbps (non-blocking) bandwidth

Amazing price for this. Close price for an 8 port / 4 PoE Netgear switch
POE+ devices can typically draw up to 30W a port, so 80W total power budget for 8 ports seems rather low. Good price for what it is though if it meets your needs.

(Doesnt seem to have PSU upgrade options like Netgear POE switches do).

Can anyone confirm if this has a fan, I'll guess it does which would be a deal breaker for me...
Seems to be fanless, although the reviews are rather mixed
I was really looking for one that support vlans, even with less ports. Decent price though, heat added

I just got a Ubiquiti 150W 8 port poe+ switch, but it was double the price of this one. Very happy with it, but this looks like a good price if it meets your needs.
I've had this switch for some time, no problems at all. No fan on it, this was high on my requirements. The blue power led is super bright, I had to put some insulation tape over it to dim it. I'm using it to power 3 x poe hikvision cameras, all other ports are in use but not supplying power.

Basically if you are looking for a high power budget you will be spending a lot more than this. Same with network features like vlans.
