Wonderfully over engineered. A WiFi extender for £40 will do for most people.

You should do some research into internet speeds via WiFi extenders and WiFi mesh systems- these, Google WiFi & BT Whole Home WiFi are nothing like WiFi extenders, the BT ones that I’ve got are magnificent

Wow, Hotukdeals seems to be going mad for ‘mesh’ WiFi systems at the moment

If you enjoy extended ping times and and average at best WIFI connection they are fine.

If you want the very most from the connection you have and don't want hardwired access points, then these are perfect.

Tempted but so in the fence. I have Gigabit LAN through out the house. Been using a router and A second ad an AP. Problem is Router is in cupboard under the stairs in the middle of the house. The AP is at the top of the stairs.
So I’m torn between a 3 point system with one buried under the stairs or just get Wire APs like Ubiquiti.
Though I could get a wired backhaul mesh system.
Ideally also want garden coverage of WiFi for things like Christmas lights on smart plugs.
Also thinking BT while Home and get 4 discs. Arghhh need to make my mind up.

No you use powering and physically cable it, no one who is serious enough to bang on about ping, latency & packet loss etc uses WiFi

I don't really get the extender hatred if you do it properly with modern kit it's perfectly acceptable in fact it'd be cheaper as well.

These mesh kits are great for the out of the box experience & how simple they are but you pay a price for that.

Unless you're getting gigabit broadband AC WiFi on repeaters is plenty fast enough and let's be honest do you really need to be able to deliver the full speed of your broadband to any ONE device? Yeah 1Gbps to your phone might sound cool but it's unnecessary.

If it's just coverage you need get an AC router and some half decent repeaters and that'll be plenty fast enough for 99%, you can use repeaters without latency & speed issues by running 1 network cable to it and back to the router.

i installed these last year after trying the bt ones, these are much better get 20mbs around the house now, and have the wired ehternet plugs for the xbox etc, overall its much better around the house

Living in a rural village reliant on satellite for any internet access, I’d be happy to get 2mbps..... First world problems eh !!

Can't speak for this product but I use Ruckus wireless AP's at home and work. The mesh technology is great and very convenient.
