A good price for this I think. It is £219.93 at Amazon and pretty much the same elsewhere. Only Ebuyer seems to be a lot cheaper.

Stupendious price reduction, fab find @Horrorwood for an amazing bit of tech!

No fluff review and guts of the device opinion, that is well worth a read here:

Is it MU MIMO

edit: review says it is. Wow. Nice price too. What modem would go well with this? TalkTalk routers don’t allow modem only mode.

Depends if your lag is local or caused by a bad internet connection. Who is your ISP?

You could pick up an openreach modem on Ebay pretty cheaply.
I know very little about routers and networking. What's the difference between a gaming router and a standard router? Why would I change to this from my basic router? TIA.

The latest firmware makes this almost unusable for any device connected via WiFi. Linksys support are unhelpful at best in trying to resolve the issue.

My connection is always fine, my ping is usually low, example BF4 its in 30s but COD mainly the other player sees me before I see them, I shoot but on kill cam I didn't even shoot, my ISP is Virgin, but ive had Sky, when I lived at my Mums it never happened but was close to the exchange there
Cisco sold Linksys to Belkin.
YMMV.
Quality and technical support will be nowhere near what it used to be.

I'm still none the wiser. I don't think this product is for me. Thanks for the reply though.

Yes. If you Google super hub 3 intel chipset or intel bug you should find the info you need...

But basically I am not sure it can be fixed, even if you use a separate router. The intel chipset is flawed and they are being sued over it in America.

Draytek Vigor 130...

draytek.co.uk/pro…130

I have one paired with an Asus RT-86U running Merlin's AsusWRT Firmware. The Draytek is expensive, but it has great performance, it's very easy to setup and has great support from Draytek.

I bought the Netgear R7000 thinking it would be the answer to all my problems

Found out that is flawed too! Between that and the superhub they don't seem to be able to negotiate 1000M successfully, so it drops me down to 100M even though I'm paying for 300+
