Linsar 55” LINK

Don’t miss out on your favourite TV. With Freeview Play on board, the smart Linsar 43UHD8000FP lets you catch-up when it suits you.

See every detail, with UHD 4K resolution
With four times the resolution of Full 1080p HD, 4K (UHD) TV offers stunning detail and resolution for totally life-like realism. You can now get a huge range of content in UHD 4K, including UHD Blu-ray, gaming and TV. Another advantage with this higher resolution TV is that, because the pixels are smaller than FHD TVs, you can sit closer to the TV before you lose definition – making this Linsar 43 inch TV ideal as a second TV.

Smart TV via wi-fi
Connect to your internet via Ethernet or wi-fi and you get access to wide range of smart TV. The intelligent remote control offers direct access to YouTube, where you can enjoy all your video favourites – on the big screen. A further button accesses Freeview Play, giving you access to all the popular catch-up TV services.

Freeview Play for catch-up TV
Freeview Play makes catch-up TV easy. Find programmes from BBC iPlayer, the ITV Hub, All4 and My5 sitting alongside over 60TV Channels and up to 15 HD channels. Simply scroll back in your TV guide to watch shows you missed from the last 7 days. Just make sure your TV is connected to the internet and you're good to go.

Fully connected for sources, old and new
Featuring three HDMI sockets, the Linsar has got all your home entertainment connected – including Blu-ray player, games console and set-top TV box. Twin USBs sockets are provided for media devices. You’ll also find a SCART socket, which is perfect for connecting older devices and much harder to find on many current TVs.

PVR USB
One of the USB sockets lets you connect a USB memory stick to use as a PVR. PVR stands for Personal Video Recorder and lets you record TV programmes via the set's Electronic Programme Guide. It can also pause live TV - just like a subscription based set-top box.

Suppose we never know but they've been around a long time and I always think the employee owned business stand a good chance.

probably the other way round, the tv brand lol
HD Channels are Terrible, Remote Control can be unresponsive. resulting in having to Turn off the TV to reset it. The official Linsar Website fails to list the 2 65" 4K UHD TV Models, one of which I purchased and already have been experiencing issues with, within a month. Picture and Sound quality settings out of the box are what you would expect from a cheap brand TV. Standard Def Channels are fine. TV also decides to power down in to Sleep Mode, even though the "Auto Sleep" mode setting has been disabled. I don't think Linsar actually manufacture TV's anymore, or at least that's the impression I'm getting from their lack of Information and Support for their 65" TV's on their Website. Purchase with Caution

I set up the 55" model for a friend a few days ago and was very impressed for the price, definitely a bargain imo.

Would be weary of the Sharp ones too, especially if it's an Aquos, and purchased from Tesco. Other half purchased one of those on Black Friday 2 years back, and it's packed up already, with no Sound or Picture.
Dreadful website.
