Linsar 55UHD8000FP 55 Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV Freeview Play + 5 Year Warranty - £289 @ RGB direct if you prefer £10 cheaper with 5 Year warranty instead of 6 year warrnaty

See every detail, with UHD 4K resolution

With four times the resolution of Full 1080p HD, 4K (UHD) TV offers stunning detail and resolution for totally life-like realism. You can now get a huge range of content in UHD 4K, including UHD Blu-ray, TV and gaming. Another advantage with this higher resolution TV is that, because the pixels are smaller than FHD TVs, you can sit closer to the TV before you lose definition – making a larger screen possible in a smaller room.

Big screen value
Priced closer to 43 – 49 inch smart TVs, this 55 inch Linsar TV is a big-screen bargain. A bigger screen helps draw you into the action, making it ideal for action movies and big sports events alike.

Smart TV via wi-fi
Connect to your internet via Ethernet or wi-fi and you get access to wide range of smart TV. The intelligent remote control offers direct access to YouTube, where you can enjoy all your video favourites – on the big screen. A further button accesses Freeview Play, giving you access to all the popular catch-up TV services.

Freeview Play for catch-up TV
Freeview Play makes catch-up TV easy. Find programmes from BBC iPlayer, the ITV Hub, All4 and My5 sitting alongside over 60TV Channels and up to 15 HD channels. Simply scroll back in your TV guide to watch shows you missed from the last 7 days. Just make sure your TV is connected to the internet and you're good to go.

Fully connected for sources, old and new
Featuring three HDMI sockets, the Linsar has got all your home entertainment connected – including Blu-ray player, games console and set-top TV box. Twin USBs sockets are provided for media devices. You’ll also find a SCART socket, which is perfect for connecting older devices and much harder to find on many current TVs.

PVR USB
One of the USB sockets lets you connect a USB memory stick to use as a PVR. PVR stands for Personal Video Recorder and lets you record TV programmes via the set's Electronic Programme Guide. It can also pause live TV - just like a subscription based set-top box.

Enjoy a larger screened Smart TV for less, with the Linsar 55UHD8000FP.

This, or the 55" HiSense Roku TV from Argos - admittedly that's £79 more and no 6 year warranty, but Roku built in offers a lot more "smart" functions (and it's HDR) - this one seems to only have YouTube and Freeview Play?
