I believe £95 is the auto accept amount. I offered slightly less than that personally and the seller counter offered £95. On the previous thread on here everyone got it for £95 so I think it's safe to assume that £95 is the sweet spot.

Same as this deal. Same seller but different auction.
hotukdeals.com/dea…660

Seller has always accepted £95 (less for a few of us. £90 has been the lowest). Mine arrived in mint condition, great tablet for the money.

you can sell the 0ffice 365 sub for about £25 too making this tablet about £70 in the end

The office 365 offer is on the device. Not a card.

can I play football manager on this?

tempted to try at that price

Should be fine. I've seen videos of crysis, minecraft and a few others being played on it and FM is more about number crunching than graphics rendering.

Hi,
Just had one delivered....as it was going through the setup notice screen flicker issue (about 25% of screen). Then when it finished the setup, it turned off and I could not get it to turn on again. Even after 5hrs of charge.
So it's going back, can't believe this tablet was checked over. Just a note if you have to return yours, 3monkeys give you a returns label, but the post office won't be able to find the companies name. I ended up ringing them after spending 15mins at the post office counter. The company is.. TROJAN ELECTRONICS LIMITED. Hope this helps

yes it is but you can extract the key before you activate the subscription

1) Run Office for the first time, it should take you to an activation webpage.

2) DO NOT SIGN IN. Copy the web address, you should see 5 sets of 5 capitalised alpha numerals in a string of 5, similar to the one below

XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX

3) THATS IT! Thats the code you'll need to activate on another device!

This is probably true. I was given a Surface last year for some work (development) and it wouldn't work until I had done that.

I havent had the windows 10 upgrade notice neither has my daughter and both the needed updates are on the device.

They haven't figured out how to do it yet on these low storage devices. I've got a laptop with only 32gb storage and that hadn't had it either. you'll get it eventually.

Sorry, I wasnt trying to rip you off or anything but that thread had expired and also the link had changed.

I honestly don't get a lot of the kudos and personality cult stuff that happens on this website sometimes. It is just hukd after all and not twitter. Obviously this isn't aimed at you, its just a casual observation.

Definitely. If it helps, I am intending to replace my N7 2013 with this as long as its decent and I can get along with it when it arrives. I had the old Tegra N7 2012 and hated it. I actually kept it for less than a year in the end.

The Linx 8 is also back in stock ebay.co.uk/itm…188 (I posted about the 3monkey Linx listings over a week ago, with a Deal for the Linx 8 also mentioning the 10 in the blurb. A Linx 10 thread appeared a few hours later which makes m5rcc's jibe a little ironic). Not worth the bother moaning about it...

I take my Linx 10 to bed each night, to have a read/stream/browse before nodding off

how long did it take for your offers to be accepted guys ??

I would be careful with the Windows 10 reservation/upgrade, as Microsoft are apparently still working on a Wimboot version (people are wondering how to activate the upgrade) - there's a few threads (on linxtablet.co.uk) of people trying to undo their Windows 10 preview versions, so hang fire a while.

This is the latest I can see about it: linxtablet.co.uk/vie…908

"(Microsoft said) ...the update is firstly for PCs and phones but tablets will follow later. The implementation team will be releasing the update app over the next few weeks when the update has been sorted. Then confirmed that all 10 inch tablets will get free windows 10 update but it will be phased in over the next few weeks to months. They also added that the technique to force the app will be for a pc or phone update and probably wont work with the specific tablet."

Also, as a refurb this may *not* come with an Office 365 subscription. One Linx 8/3monkeys buyer got a partial refund because of this - and 3monkeys changed the listings. For buyers of an earlier refurb ebay listing (electrical-deals) it was pot luck whether they got it, as well.
Edited by: "louiselouise" 3rd Jul 2015

I bought one through the last post, got it for £95. The tablet was very much in refurbished condition, lots of scratches on the back. Worked fine though, acceptable for the price. Unfortunately the charger wasn't working.
Can't fault 3Monkeys customer service, they came back straight away offering a £5 credit so I could source my own charger. I wasn't really happy with that so they've sent me a prepaid postage label saying they'll refund me. Can't go wrong even if it does go wrong - heat!

I bought this and sent it back -_- it has some weird Wifi connection issues at times, and it just annoyed me to the extent I didnt want it.

Takes a while to charge, and doesnt hold much usage on a full charge ( I bought this brand new )
Big note - the screen really isnt all that nice, blurry/smudgy, and not HD.

Post 2 in the linxtablet link also goes on to say that the only delay for tablet users will be those running RT.

So it should be safe to force the update icon, even though, for some it will have been generated automatically.

Does the device feel reasonably well made to you or does it feel a bit cheap/plasticy?

Also, does it hold charge for a reasonable length of time when not in use?

Thanks.

Guess you must have had a dud one - (theres always a few in a batch) - but honestly the one I bought from this seller was in great condition and practically brand new. There were NO scratches on the back, just some light colour blemishes and the screen already had a screen protector on it!

As for the wifi, bluetooth, etc they all work fine and the screen is brilliant, bright and vibrant (although not full HD). Even when sat next to my Surface Pro 3 it's pretty damn good.

The only thing I would say is beware of that games list - some of them do not work/are unplayable - and I've checked them out for myself, e.g. Deus Ex Human Revolution and Mass Effect can become laggy as hell.

It's fairly well made in my opinion but don't expect the same level of manufacturing as Apple or Microsoft. The backing on the 10" tablet is some of the cheapest I've seen in a while and it does have a plastic matte back that absorbs finger prints easily. I had to get a case just to avoid this. However the screen works really well and is responsive.

The battery takes along time to charge although it can last longer than the 4 hours stated. I got mine to last up to 6-7 hours with intermittant streaming of videos and web browsing (with the screen turned down and set to power saver).

The battery will discharge if left in standby although I havent tested this - as I heard it's a wifi problem common in all linx tablets (wifi doesn't turn off in standby, so it drains the battery). They may have fixed this problem...?

Turned off, I haven't notice my battery losing it's charge. Certainly at least, not within 2 days and thats the longest I've had it off...

This looks more powerful than my work computer, heat added!

Thanks, I ordered the official keyboard case this morning which has cost me £10 but I wanted a keyboard anyway.

This tablet seems to be the UK version of a German one by Schnecker which is, as you would expect, a rebranded tablet from China. I haven't quite managed to figure out exactly which one yet though although I think it's by PIPO and PIPO are definitely one the better Chinese brands like Huawei.

On OC forums someone mentioned that the USB charging cable that I linked to in the OP seems to charge faster from the maiins than the official power adaptor. It's possible that the power cable that comes with it is underpowered or is optimised for the 110v system in the US and Japan (charging my phone in Japan always takes longer than it does on the UK for that reason).

I'm hoping that I can mess around with it to fix the WiFi battery consumption issues or, with any luck, Windows 10 might fix them automatically.

Where did you get the keyboard from?

Also yeah the power adaptor that is supplied with it is rubbish. It seems to act like a charger for a small phone, rather than a tablet.

I did try both Bespoke Offers and Flubit to beat Amazon's price on the Origami case but the lowest offer I got from either of them was £21.

I would honestly consider this over the linx.
