Bought it from Sainsburys when it was £200. Terrible bit of kit. Now on my 4th. USB port eventually fails when using a USB3 device (presumably the higher current causes something to give up). Constantly loses wifi connection (other devices in the house in a similar location have no problem). Shame about these faults as it could have been a great bit of kit for the price.

Can you not just give it back?

I personally never accept more than 3 (2 replacements). If it's not right by the 3rd attempt it's never going to be acceptable.
If the eMMC storage in this is anything like that in the Linx10 then it'll turn into an arthritic slug in a few months.

You know, I really want to like this thing, it has such great potential. I'm going to completely wipe it and reload a completely fresh copy of Windows in the hope that sorts out the WiFi issue. Failing that, sadly I think it will have to go back.
i bought it last year for £ 200 from Sainsburys. Good tablet but cannot believe Brexit caused £49.99 price increase.
guys this is a differrent midel
that was a 12v64 for 200 with a different proceseor

Yes this seems to have a slightly larger screen and a different processor.
The 12v64 has some terrible reviews on Amazon - I know this is the 12X64 but apart from screen and processor whats the difference as most of issues are around wifi connectivity and screen bleed.

I've been to PC world and 'asked the experts' if the 12X is 2.4ghz & 5Ghz wifi and TBH after getting blank looks and inconsistent answers I would get more a more intelligent response asking my cat about the theory of relativity.

Anyone know more about the differences (BTW the cat got quantum theory completely wrong)
I went into Currys/pcworld in plymouth, just to have a hands on with the Linx, see what it was like, supposed to be stock in store, but as usual with this company none on display and none in stock, what's the point of having a showroom if there's nothing to show, and no surprise the so called experts where completely clueless, i think i will give this a miss until a better offer arrives
I have the 12v64 and it is metal and it is a surface pro 3 clone, Keyboard magnetically raises to connect to the screen and the keyboard is a clone of the surface pro one. The 12x64 which I have seen in pc world/currys is plastic (built to a price point I think!) and the keyboard is thicker, but not as nice. Not the same quality product as the 12v64. But at the end of the day they both have 4gb Ram and 64gb storage with the similar processor to the Surface 3 (non pro).
I also think people are getting confused between the leather 1010 in Sainsbury's and the 12v64 which sainsburys only started selling on Black Friday for £229, which did drop to £200 after a while. Since then it has gone back up to £329/£300.
