Assuming the diagnostic equipment connects via USB it should be fine. This is a 'normal' PC but just in Tablet form i.e. has a touch screen. It runs (and comes with) standard Windows 10.

Thank you. Looks like I just found out what I want for Christmas!

Great product, I got one when it was £230, but hopefully TCB will give me my £30. A little heavier than a normal tablet, but I guess the screen is bigger. Performance is pretty good, well worth the money.

I’m with you, good for the price. Some have been negative about performance but it’s fine for non demanding activities, word processing, spreadsheet, browsing the web, music & video playing etc.

Would this come with Ms office (local or online variant). Its for a school kid but wondering is there any additional cost for office apps.

No it doesn’t, just a trial period. Could use a free office clone e.g. Open Office (www.openoffice.org).

Thanks. I know my work also has office on a home use program too. Need to check this includes the online office as I'd imagine ms office local install would eat up most of the space on this thing.

Yes better to have MS Office especially if can get for good price. Not sure how much space you’ll need for all of Office installed but pretty sure you won’t fill it especially as you’ll have another 32gb card to slot in.

This is a good price for a UK sourced product/ form factor and I've duly heated.

However, in terms of bang for buck, and of course running the risk of importing from China, I'd go for one of the Apollo lake N3450 Macbook Air clones for less than this price. e.g. the Jumper Ezybook 3 Pro v4, with which you're getting >2x the Passmark score of this Atom, a metal unibody, 6h battery life and M2 expansion if needed.

Ebuyer have it £196.98 according to the email I've just received

Managed to pick one of these up £99 when our Sainsbury's was selling off to make way for Argos. Brilliant piece of kit.

These are perhaps the sweet spot for good performance/value detachable devices. The cheaper 10.1" 1366x768, 2GB, 32GB devices just don't quite hit the mark.

@tnm1975, you lucky devil...

Agreed. The spec of this one is ok but would not want anything lower.

Yeah, I got an Asus T100 when they were new about 3/4 years ago. Sort of regretted it ever since as it wasn't quite big/powerful enough for my needs. Would have happily paid a bit extra if devices like this were around at the time.

This is still pretty slow, I regretted buying a surface 3. I thought the newer atom chips would be sufficient but they were still slow.

That's more a failing of the Surface line putting slow chips in such an expensive device.

This is the bottom end of the market where devices are not expected to do anything too intensive. I just think the bigger screen, higher res, double RAM, double eMMC storage and the slightly faster CPU all make this a better all round device than the smaller ones that have been floating around for years like the Linx 1010/1020 and Asus T100. More expensive, yes, but worth the extra money.

Thanks OP. Ordered for daughter after crappybest failed to deliver for Christmas despite ordering 8 weeks ago.

edit - couple of quid quidco available too.

Has anyone had their order shipped yet? Mine is still showing as pending. Called the Microsoft store to find out what's happening and they said it needs to be escalated to the warehouse. Takes 2 working days for a reply...

I ordered mine a little while back and it did take a few days to arrive (via UPS). Also, be aware that the memory card might come separately, so don't worry if they are a day or so apart. Hope you don't have any issues.
