Not a bad price. Not sure if Microsoft are still doing this for £179.99 tho.

Yep cheaper as Microsft store

Don't stray to far from a mains socket....the battery is poop.

Actually not a bad price. As above, shame battery life is awful for an atom. Guess that Fhd display uses a lot of juice

Can my daughter play roblox and mine craft on this?

Imo I can't see this playing either. I've ordered one which should be arriving tomorrow, I'm more than happy to try them and report back

Voted hot. Though same price as last year it was selling in Sainsburys for £ 199

I have a Thinkpad Tablet 10 gen 2, has the same atom and a 1920x1200 panel which gets at least 6 hours of battery life. Makes me wonder if its just some kind of performance settings issue, or just crap components.

Seems a decent price assuming this thing performs similarly to mine.

my experiance with this tablet was good had amazing battery for what i was using it for (UNI). only downsides is that if you reinstall you lose all the drivers and its near impossible to find the wifi drivers for the device. also if you reset the bios to defaults it apparently kills the tablet as i had to send mine back due to it.

Funny you say that?.

I had a few 'issues' with my LINX 10 also ...

It all comes down to what your necessity for your poison is I guess?. :-)

It shouldn't perform the same ...

I'm assuming your ThinkPad Tablet is a 10 Inch one?.

This is a 12 Inch beast!, lol.

Battery/Performance wise, etc, those additional/extra 2 Inches that the OP's Deal has over yours, WILL make a biggggg difference still?. :-D

But I could be mistaken ...

Yep!, I remember that, hehehe.

And it's been bouncing back and forth ever since!.

One minute it's £199, the next it's £300+, and the next it's £200+, and back again to the pennies shy of £199 again? + anything in-between besides! (£170 odd, at it's lowest ebb, if I'm not mistaken?).

It's all good though. :-)

Does not fast charge takes 4 to 6 hours to get to 100% if your not using it. WiFi has an issue of you use it for long periods without turning it off. That's the reason they are cheap it's been more than 6 months with the forum posts getting very long and they can't find a solution.

Kinda, it’s the same CPU etc but you’d assume the bigger tablet won’t throttle as much. But then the ThinkPad is far better built (rrp of over £700!) so it’ll probably balance out.

I’ve opened up a few cheap Chinese devices before, and the battery pack is just a small square sellotaped somewhere within the chassis. Bearing in mind an atom motherboard is also tiny, I imagine the Linx has a lot of empty space within in.

Bought this from eBuyer and sent it straight back.
You get what you pay for, and with this, you're paying for short battery life, a terrible screen with awful viewing angles and a very sluggish Windows 10 machine. Everything just seemed laggy and one step behind what you wanted.

Put my money towards a used Samsung Tab Pro S and my god the difference (obviously) is incredible. Save your money.

7 hours run time. enough! will buy one for son.

You can back up the drivers before you wipe/reinstall Windows. Then reinstall the drivers after.

The price reduces after I sign in using a hotmail email address, before I’ve added it to cart.

Sorry for the delay in reply. My linx didn't come until late Friday and had bt here all weekend turning my Internet on and off while they done work.

Took me forever to do windows updates! Argh.

I just tried minecraft on the linx with settings turned down. It's unplayable! Haven't tried roadblox yet, need my son's login. I can't see the linx playing jack shit tho.

It's great little thing. I bought it for general use, coding, watching some videos and surfing the net. For that it's absolutely perfect.

As long as you aren't planning missions for NASA I find the battery fine.

Probably wouldn't use it in direct sunlight too much as the brightness on 100% will drain the battery like a champ. But for most people's use I think it's great

Soz if already posted...

AO will price-match the MS £179.99 [if you prefer AO over MS as the retailer for this], just let them know it's on the MS UK site.

If they can't find it > microsoft.com/en-…re/
> Search for LINX <ENTER>
> Then click on the LINX laptop picture to see the £179.99 offer

They do try to up-sell with the £6/month care package/warranty, but you can opt for just the £179.99 LINX device with free delivery if that's all you need.
Good luck !
