Beats the recent Microsoft deal, doesn't come with a free 32GB memory card, but you can pick them up for less than the price difference anyway, or if you have one already this one could suit you better.

  • Intel Atom x5-Z8350 1.44GHz
  • 4GB RAM + 64GB eMMC
  • 12.5" Full HD Touchscreen
  • WIFI + 2 Cameras
  • Bluetooth + Windows 10 Home

Just added link to your deal on the Microsoft one

seems to be quite laggy according to reviews

I got this on the expired Microsoft deal with 64gb card for 230.

Pros:
Cheap
Full HD
1.25Kg with keyboard attached.
Decent battery life.
Can be charged via power bank.
Full size usb and microsd slot.
Fast enough for movies and light tasks.
No fan so nice and quiet.

Cons:
Very slow. Torturous at times.
Various issues with wifi drivers and random graphical issues. I'm sure it's all driver related but there is almost no support for linx anywhere.
Poor speakers but just put headphones or external speakers in.
Screen is dim and very reflective. Ok for indoors but forget using it where sunlight is present.

Ouch that processor is slowwwwwwww

I found a support number for Linx and called them, they sent through a 400mb zip with every driver it needed (41 drivers!)

This link may still work: dropbox.com/s/1…l=0

If not, please email linxsupport@exertis.co.uk and request the drivers. I simply extracted them to c:\drivers then right clicked every device in Device manager > update driver > pointed it to the folder. Worked great on a clean install of windows 10

Bought this for £99 in Sainsbury's end of August.

not the same tablet. Probably 12v64 not 12x64

HUKD is seriously going downhill posting the the same deal from the same/different vendor again and again for affiliate income.

Everyone from the previous thread indicated that this tablet/keyboard wasn't good and it had reliability issues, so why foister this again onto HUKD people who don't know any better?

Cherry Trail Atoms are also abysmal in terms of performance.

COLD.

Is this not recommended for web browsing and general office use?
If not could someone provide a better alternative?

You're right it is going down hill, with people posting the same complaints about the Cherry Trail processors - oh wait!

We have a few of these at the college I work at. The WiFi cuts out at least every other day, you have to turn WiFi off and on or restart to get it to work again. We have been unable to solve the issue with the manufacturers help for over 4 weeks now.

Cherry Trail Atoms are grim though. I wouldn't wish one of those on my worst enemy.

What happened to HUKD being more of a community finding decent stuff for people instead of the direction where it seems to be going now chasing commercial affiliate income?

Many thanks for the reply.
Is there a similar touchscreen one? I currently have a tablet and find it much easier than a non touchscreen.

It's not touch screen unfortunately. There really aren't any good touchscreen 2-1 convertible devices at this £200 price point. Have a look at the Dell convertibles that were posted on there recently. I think they were about £350 or so. This Linx here is cheap only because it's rubbish (and unreliable).

Maybe something like this - you may find it cheaper elsewhere:
