I think this model only support m.2 2242 drives and you can't upgrade ram.

Should work, as it is Pentium N4200, most Linux distro disks should boot.
I like Linx 12V 64. 2in1 but this just plain boring slow laptop with out touch screen. Negative
Shi*e, ordered the HP but this looks nice. What is the best one

Hi there, thanks for putting the link up. Looks like you can buy that from their German warehouse so avoiding tax and duty. I’ve not used geekbuying before, have you had good experiences with them

That’s what I’m considering. The Geekbuying one has more ram and the idea of ordering from within the EU offers some reassurance

Me as well, it appears to have wireless ac, not noticed that on the tesco one
i bought the geekbuying one from their hk warehouse, took around 3 weeks to arrive. didnt get stung for duty. would be quicker from eu warehouse i guess. never had any problems with them, and at £155 you're actually saving £74 not £50!

German site works out around £168, a good saving but that is assuming all goes well. Any problems and it may not be such a good deal, Mmmm

its not always straightforward on tablet based devices. Some Linx tablets come with a 32bit efi which can't run the 64bit loader. You will need to do some research on modified boot loaders: this should help LINK

So if you buy it from the German site, then if it developes a fault, does it have to be sent back to China or Germany to get it fixed??

All very true
Can anyone tell me what processor does this laptop have?
If buying from geekbuying does this come with qwerty keyboard? I don’t want to buy from Germany warehouse if it comes with a qwertz layout

Ordered and picked up today. Used it for 6 or so hours and really impressed its a genuine steal at this price I couldn’t recommend it enough. I had actually purchased a top end refurb from dell but it will be going back as I feel this will keep me going long enough. Cheers OP!
does this have a fan, if it does not , i can see the cpu dropping out of turbo mode to cool down

the atom cpu in the 12 v 64 is a lot slower than the n4200.
plus i tend to avoid touch screen laptops, since the screen digitizer causes reflections and fingerprints.
i would say the 12v 64 is more a tablet than a laptop

No really sturdy its just one pad that can be tapped and it doesn’t click its really responsive - one of the best I’ve used.

It's a shame you can't upgrade the ram...otherwise I'd get my credit card out and order.

Nice little bit of kit.

Been using 4 gig of ram on windows 10 now since before launch and it works ok for me. Biggest bonus being a ssd rather than a bit more memory. Happy to go with this for under 230 quid, there will always be a compromise at this price point

Ordered Friday but not at store till Monday, not sure why it took so long, I have been using a Lenovo now for the last 3 years so hopefully this will be nice to use, it is not always about specs I would rather have a nice laptop that I enjoy using rather than the highest specs that has a crap keyboard or real noisy click on the scratchpad. That is why I have kept my lenovo so long, just a nice laptop to use.
Totally agree, I'm "on school" get it for a task...just like the idea that I can upgrade if I need to in the future... 4gb isn't tons. I'm thinking about using it for mixing music... Not sure it's not enough guts for it.
But agree, lovely laptop really.
Nice build.

Can anyone help me weigh up the pros and cons of this Linx 14 compared to the Acer Swift 1 for similar money?
Hi, how do you get it for £229? The cheapest I can get it to is £279 with the £20 off code. Has it increased in price since posting?

Looks like the price has gone by up by £50 now. Thanks for pointing that out as I will expire it .
I've just bought the Iota version of this laptop, installed a msata drive and the laptop can't see it. Have any of you Linx 14" ultraslim owners had the same issue?
