Linx 8'' 8.1 Windows Tablet - potential £99 (£69.00 using New customer code ) (plus £2.95 delivery) @ Very

I saw the temperature of the Linx 8'' Windows 8.1 tablet at Sainsbury's black Friday event, but sadly missed the boat.

However, if you order one on very.co.uk today (30/11) as a new customer and use the code "4VHYK", you receive £30 off your first order, making this £69.00 (plus £2.95 delivery).

Currently for sale at £99.00 on Amazon, so I think this is a great deal. This is my second post - so please go easy on me!

NOTE: The code did not work for me online, but I called the call centre and this was applied. The £30 is now showing on my account and I've just paid the balance in full! Easy!

Just be warned Very can and do reverse the £30 'new customer' code if you are tricking their system, don't risk it (if you are not a new customer) even if they accept it there have been examples of people having £30 charge back to their card/account months later

Just don't expect anything special from this device as it's am ATOM based intel model and only 1GB or ram, so not one to replace your main system!..

Very require a credit check and make it difficult to cancel accounts, be warned.

4VHYK is £30 off first credit order I believe?

Never been able to get credit with Very as their system recognizes my address but at the end of the checkout it tells me it cannot find my address for delivery...have rung up numerous times but got nowhere with them, Disappointing they only ever issue nice codes for credit accounts lol

code works. cheers

As long as you actually are a new customer and have self control with regards re-using an account that's difficult to close, this is surely a good deal?

Ordered in my wife's name as I ordered something as a new customer years ago. If there's a problem with the £30 it'll go back, free of charge. Just one thing, the delivery is coming up as £3.95, not £2.95. Still much cheaper than driving round the local Sainsbury's !

I looked into the terms for the code.

1. Representative 39.9% APR variable *£30 off first orders over £60 when you open a credit account before midnight on 30th November 2014.
2. The discount will be applied as an account credit.
3. The actual APR applicable to you may be different from the representative APR based on your credit status.
4. Full terms, visit very.co.uk/terms.
5. Credit provided by Shop Direct Finance Company Limited, Liverpool, L30 1SL.
6. Returned goods, financial services products and delivery charges will not count towards the order value & this offer cannot be used with any other discount or promotional offer.

It says my order total is £99.00 even though it accepted the code. Quidco says the purchase was £82.50 and gives me £5.77 cashback.

Did you need to sign up for the very account (credit thing) before the £30 applied or could you use the code as a debit/credit card payment?

As I mentioned in the description, I had to call them. I had £30 credit added onto my account straight away.

Sorry for the annoying questions, could you pay with this with a different credit or debit card? (Nice find too)

May I ask, is your order total still £99.00 or has it changed? I'm not sure what changes in the account to say that the £30 discount worked. At the moment it just says that my order is being processed.

You must create the credit account to get the £30 discount. You can then use their "Take 3" method of payment where you pay it off over 3 months with no added interest.

I've used the contact us method to ask about the discount code. I applied it and it accepted it during the order, but I don't visually see any discount. They have another code advertised on their website for 10% off, but that wouldn't bring the price down to £69.

very shop direct finance ltd company policy if the product breaks down after the first 30 days.all you can do is keep getting it repaired till the gtee runs out no replacement or refund.

I gave them a call and got it for £69 with free delivery via collect+. On top of that I got £5.77 cashback via Quidco, so I've basically had the tablet for only £63.23. At this price it's a great deal and the odds of it being broken anytime soon are very slim.
