I had the other 10" Linx tablet a while ago but I had return it because of a screen defect. This does look like quite a handy little machine though especially if you have a gaming PC or Xbox to go with it.

That's more of a Surface equivalent though. Different market appeal really.

how is xbox remote play on this ? i play via my laptop and xbox contoller on my pc it has a little lag will it be the same on this can anyone comment.

Personal opinion with one I brought a year back. Don't bother. It takes decent internet the windows 10 on the device is increbly laggy and slow. The Xbox stream app itself is temperamental. A great idea backed by very poor hardware. The controllers are incredibly bad to use for anything other than racing. Trying a fps with these clunky controllers feel horrible. Think switch but a wider handspread and an incredible weight and overall bulk with the controller. The build of the controller grip is also poor. Lots of flex. Do yourself a favour and just straight avoid it. Buy a switch and stream your Xbox on an existing windows 10 tab with a normal controller

It doesn't actually come with an Xbox Controller, does it?

It's got those PS Move looking dongles mounted on the side. Title is a bit misleading.

Great system but if you're planning on putting Steam games (albeit old ones which can run on the device) then consider that many SD cards struggle to keep their connection on this device, no matter how good they are - larger ones are worse it seems. Therefore, I'd suggest that you only put one Steam game at a time on the main storage for the device and then 'copy' across the Steam games you have on an SD card when you want to play something else, otherwise performance and disconnection issues will frustrate you.

Great device though, like a Switch before it's time!

Have you updated to the latest Windows 10 and does everything still work?

I've got a space-limited GPD Win which is like a windows 10-running nintendo DS. I store large games on my NAS and play them across the network. It's definitely laggy but I get more throughput than a microSD card will provide and a few TB greater capacity. It only works because the wifi card is 2 stream AC so I can get 60MB/s. IIRC this linx tablet uses single stream N and will be slower.

Mate of mine bought one, raved about it for a week, now resigned to a dusty cupboard. Controllers are fking terrible and very uncomfortable apparently.

The tablet is really decent. I sold mine as I buy tech and don't use it.

But I managed to run fallout New Vegas , mirror's edge 1, burnout paradise and a couple of other games on the tablet (no streaming).

If I recall, fallout was 20-30fps range at medium-high graphics.
Mirror's edge was 20-30fps around high graphics
Burnout paradise was 20-30fps on medium-high. Rest I can't remember. But I was rather impressed with it.

Wish they made a #2 off this tablet with better specs.

Edit: as above. I remember why I sold mine was that the SD card would unmount constantly.

And I turned my nose up when someone was selling them for £59

I stream xbox to my Linx 10 and it works flawlessly without AC wireless etc dunno why people claim the streaming app is buggy I've not come across a single issue

These tablets are little beasts and show how far we have come in such a short time. Skyrim runs on it really well (on lowest settings) Rocket League runs okay too (on lowest). There is a list on a forum out there with all local games. i have used this on the XBONE and on Steam Streaming and provided you are close enough to the router they run really well

If only there was a video gaming company out there who could do this kind of thing well.
