These were rubbish (too slow) 2 years ago, hate to think what they are like now,!
Mine works fine for Xbox one streaming and the tablet is quick at loading apps and very responsive.i use mine all the time to watch films on and never had a problem.on the streaming side tho people have had bad experiences with lag but that’s more the router not the tablets fault.
My son wants a Nintendo switch for his birthday, can't wait to see his face when i turn up with this.

Not sure why this is listed as 'with Xbox Controller'. Its not remotely licensed and they've just copied the colour of the buttons.

Plus they've described 1280x800 as "pin sharp" so that says everything.

I have one. Oddly they haven't improved with time. Also - the controllers are painful to use and not very good.

Just curious... Aside from this what other ways can you stream Xbox one games? I m assuming just any old Android tablet and a Bluetooth controller? But I guess this is a neat all in one option?

Can anyone give a list of Xbox games that this tablet can run?

You can stream and play all of them over your network from the Xbox one.
Your Xbox is doing all the work, this is basically just being used as a 2nd screen over WiFi.
Also not sold by Tesco it’s sold by Laptop Outlet who ever they are.

I appreciate the reply. I was actually referring to the games you can buy on the tablet itself. I was wondering if you can play games like the telltale story games and not the shitty ones found on the window phones?

No I don't think android tablets can stream the Xbox games, think it's the windows tablets like these Linx ones
I had one of these a while back. They are decent for the money but a few pointers; The controller is difficult to use. If you look at the controls you'll see the right stick and ABXY buttons are swapped over. If you are used to using an XBOX controller muscle memory will mean this is incredibly difficult to use (for me it was anyway). You can plug a standard controller in via a OTG cable (about £1 from ebay) but that kinda defeats the point of having the controller chassis. Also the screen quality isn't the best. Steam can be installed and it will run a few games straight from the tablet (Dishonored, Fallout 3, Alan Wake). My advice if you are thinking about something like this would be to buy a Windows 10 tablet with a better screen, faster processor and use an OTG cable and link an XBOX controller up. That is all you need to stream your XBOX games to it.

The tablet is powerful enough to play Alan Wake? I have a decent laptop and even that says it can't play that via canirunit
Good deal.

I would personally go with the 10 inch Lynx 1010B which you can often find on Amazon Warehouse for around the same price. Has full size USB ports so you can plug in an Xbox One controller or use bluetooth on the newer controllers.

If you have a laptop or any Windows 10 device you can use them instead, it's just a Windows 10 app that lets you stream Xbox games.

I played Alan Wakes American Nightmare. I think I had to make some adjustments first, run it on low etc. but yeah, it worked OK for me. FPS wasn't great but gaming on the go. There is a page on the Linx website with a list of all compatible games that will run. It's worth signing up and keeping an eye on that.
These are terrible. Ergonomics are woeful.

If you son likes retro games of the 16 bit era and can set up retroarch, this little thing will blow the switch out of the water. I actually pair a couple of Bluetooth controllers to it and use it in desktop mode or connect to my TV and play mame, FBA, SNES, megadrive, Gameboy ROMs etc.

This tablet is awesome but you just need to know what to do with the thing.

I also tried running a few pc games via my steam library. It runs 2d indy stuff like mercenary kings just fine. I even got mass effect 2 and Skyrim working on this thing.

I have a switch and love it, but that's what I play Zelda on, for retro games that cost crazy prices on the eshop, this is such a better alternative.

I have one and it's pretty good. I actually think the build quality is decent and it didn't take me too long to get used to the controller. The two thumbsticks are a little too elevated for my liking, but they're not bad. I didn't even know it had a rumble feature until I used it.

I'm less forgiving about the headphone and charger ports. They're positioned awkwardly when the controller is attached, making it quite difficult to plug/unplug peripherals.

Overall though for Xbox/Steam streaming this thing is great, provided you have a good LAN and a fairly modern router. If everything in your house is hooked up with Wifi, don't bother. At this price I highly recommend it.

Some decent games. I'm curious as to how good resident evil 5 will run. I may give it a try.

'canirunit' site must be rubbish then.

If this tablet can run Alan Wake, my 2.5ghz i5 laptop with 8gb ram should.

Yeah I used it for snes games when I had it. Left the controller in the box tho, it's just unusable. As others have said, this is years old so might be better just getting an android tablet and Bluetooth controller.
Atom CPU, how quaint.

I had one a few years ago, sold it as it's too slow to use day to day, and the controller is crap. Don't go expecting Xbox controller quality, really vague and nasty.
Been this price for a while (I think!)
8 inch screen and Windows... Oh dear. Horrific way to use Windows.
I've got one and don't mind it. Streaming works well, Skyrim runs OK on low settings. But if you're expecting some kind of high end experience for 70quid you're gonna be disappointed

Ordered. I have a GPD but I can use this to stream music instead of my Mac when having a few beers. Heat
I'm sorry I can't help but laugh when I look at that picture. Just look at it!

If you want to play reto games, a raspberry pi with retropie is the best option only problem is the technical difficulties.

It should run it no problem. According to Can You Run It (Link) you meet minimum spec. You can pick it up for a couple of quid so give it a shot if you are interested. I enjoyed it.

At release it was advertised as being made (the controller dock) by the same people that make the xbox one controllers for microsoft. Is this not the case? (Not defending it, the controls were dire to use)
